I think the commentary of these videos writes itself. I'll let everyone else be the judge of what happened.

I don't know John Ziegler or anything he has ever done, but it is clear he is an arrogant a**hole. He asks David Keene questions, doesn't like his responses, interrupts him and badgers him on allegations that John Ziegler doesn't substantiate. I have no idea what he was talking about with Fed Ex and I have got to wonder why Ziegler did not show the letter he referenced. Why did Ziegler not show proof and time table for the Spector donations? Unfortunately Bush and Rick Santorum endorsed Spector over Toomey last election. I understand why they did it even though I thought it was wrong. So is that reason to treat David Keene like that?
There are a lot of conservatives that thought it was a mistake for Sarah Palin to resign, that is their opinion. David Keene made some good points that the candidate should not complain about the press, but let others do it. But apparently Ziegler did not want to hear an explanation, he wanted to badger and provoke David Keene... and anyone else in the way. It was classless and rude to jump up on the stage. It was classless how he treated Jim Lacy. Ziegler was a complete jerk to security... and Ziegler was the whiner crying "assault" when security bumped him-- what a wussy... grow a set.
It is very apparent that John Ziegler has never learned any manners. I am at a loss why Ziegler released this video because it shows Ziegler in such a bad light... as a classless, arrogant, mannerless individual.
I can speak of David Keene because I do know him. In fact a couple weekends ago we had a Texas BBQ then went out shooting. Later that weekend we sat down and had dinner. He is a kind, sincere and gentle man. David is always thought provoking, and even if I disagree with David on a topic, David will always give a well thought-out, reasoned, and logical explanation.
David Keene has been working in Washington in the conservative trenches for years and that alone should afford him a little respect. Ziegler produces a video with all sorts of allegations, but adds no proof of the allegations. He could have easily added them to the video, but he didn't which throws up red flags concerning Ziegler's allegations.
In short you should learn early in life you just don't treat people like Ziegler treats people. Like I say, I know nothing of John Ziegler, he may be a nice guy... but you would never know that by watching his video. Ziegler is too old to be spanked, his parents should have spanked him when he was growing up, but had I been there when he jumped up on stage, I would have done society a favor and spanked him.
With so many reasonable, logical ways Ziegler could have handled this interview, he chose the worst possible method of conducting himself. Through all 3 video tapes, you can see Ziegler insulting and harrassing everyone he comes in contact with. There is nothing I can say to defend Ziegler's behavior. I was absolutely curious to see this video and sadly, once I saw all 3 videos (taped by Ziegler's own videographer, I must add), I have to side with Keene and I don't even like conservative politics. Ziegler let own his arrogance and bloated sense of self importance get ahead of the reason he was there in the first place. Had he been a gentleman, he would have gotten a great story considering he was originally scheduled as a speaker on that very panel. If he is that against the conservative party, consider what a great vantage point that would have given him for his article - to be a panel member! Instead, he managed to make an absolute fool of himself and got thrown out of the conference. When that wasn't enough to cool his jets, the conference leaders called the police and he was finally escorted out by a Raddisson Hotel Security staff member. It was whispered by someone that when the police arrived, Ziegler was quietly having lunch inside with his fiance. My message to her is "Girlfriend, open your eyes; consider this episode and realize that you're not even married yet and he's already pulling stunts. Once you're married and stuck with this man, you're going to face embarassments and disappointments for the rest of your life. Think carefully about whether you want to live your life in the spotlight with a man that behaves this way because this is only the beginning. This behavior doesn't correct itself through time. It only gets worse." Sorry friends but Ziegler was totally unprofessional and out of control.
Excellent comment Ruthie. Zig took this way to far. He had great questions that put Keene on the spot for his ridiculous support of Arlen Specter and his pay for play schemes, but he acted like a jerk and made a scene at the convention instead.
I used to be sympathetic to Ziegler. Geez -- what an ass, with a healthy dose of grandiosity.
I don't entirely agree with Ziegler's approach. But, does that mean Keene gets a pass? So, when Conservatives (BTW - I am a Conservative) are asked tough questions, they get a pass? Is it because they are part of the tried-and-true beltway establishment and are untouchable? So, being friends with someone (in this case Spector) overrides one's responsibility to the Conservative movement? How can a group be taken seriously with such hypocrisy? What a joke. When are Conservative groups (such as the ACU, etc.) going to take a stand and only support those candidates who espouse Conservative values. I can understand the desire to support those who have the best shot at winning, but it should'nt be done at the expense of our Conservative principles.
Zieglar was a jerk long before conservatives figured it out.
I am sick and tired of this infighting in our party. Ronald Reagan once said,"Lets stop the fighting, and go get some Dems!!!"
