Woof Woof

California clearly is in great fiscal shape, right? It must be because the Snip-the-Roamers bill (otherwise known as Senate Bill 250, The Pet Responsibility Act, Senator Dean Florez), is still alive and people are devoting energy to it.
It passed in the Senate, and must go to a vote in the full Assembly by next Friday. Today is considered a very important day to make sure Legislators understand what people want, so supporters and opponents are being ured to flood the Capitol with calls.
In all seriousness, can you imagine something like forced dog castration being considered your life's work? How sad...Yet, according to some this bill is the life’s work of Orange County’s own Judie Mancuso.
The yes-on-250 web site has a nifty tool where supporters - and, er, opponents - can type in their zip code and immediately get a list of area lawmakers and telephone numbers. So basically, if you want the state to have control over you getting your dog spayed or neutered you support this bill. If you think this is an example of government over-reach you do not. Let the legislature know how you feel about this issue.
My goodness, this controversy is really about government control of one aspect of dog healthcare!!!! How will we ever solve people healthcare in a civilized manner?
