White House to fly Communist Chinese Flag

The national flag of the People's Republic of China (PRC) will be hoisted at the South Lawn of the White House in Washington on September 20, media reported Sunday.
Chinese associations in the United States had applied to hold a ceremony in front of the US President’s residence to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of PRC.
Chen Ronghua, chairman of Fujian Association of the United States, told reporters that their application was approved not only because of the sound Sino-US relations but also because China is a responsible country.
"Many Americans admire China due to the success of last year’s Beijing Olympics," said Chen.
More than 1,000 people will attend the ceremony and the performances held after it, according to Zhao Luqun, who will direct the performances.
Zhao said the performances will demonstrate the friendship, magnanimous spirit and kindness of modern Chinese people.
Gee, I spent twenty-three years in the U.S. Army fighting the Communists. I faced the Russians in Europe, American soldiers fought the Communist Chinese in Korea, I fought Communist North Vietnam, which was supported by both the U.S.S.R. and Communist China.
Celebrating Americans of Chinese descent is one thing. Celebrating Communism is another. Now our President will hoist the Communist flag over the White House. How fitting and in sync with his political belief system. I can hardly wait for President Obama's May Day parade. Where is Senator "Tail Gunner" Joe Mcarthy when you need him?

This should be a celebration in China not the U.S
Stop whining. Big deal if we fly a Chinese flag. If we flew a flag that literally read "We hate freedom, down with Democracy," that'd be one thing. But the Chinese flag represents so much more than simple Communism. Get a life and stop nitpicking because you don't like progress.
Perhaps you're missing the point Brian tried to make... and I'm guessing you're not a Veteran, because you might view this differently. China might have hosted the Olympic Games, but that doesn't make them a country with Humane ideals. I'm for keeping the White House, and every OTHER place on US soil, for OUR flag. Now I disagreed with allowing China to host the Olympics in the first place and I boycotted it. We should not support a country that outright promotes abortion as a means to control population! We should not support any country that does not value the sancticty of human life! Let me tell you what that flag literally translates to in the original Chinese. It was the flag of the Communist takeover and the exile of Chang Kei Shek...um, or literally, "We hate freedom, down with Democracy." Read your history before you spout off next time.

Millions and Millions of people have died under Communist rule. My friends Grandfather was buried alive when Chairman Mao took over just because he was a land owner. Is this progress to celebrate the anniversary of their takeover? Read some books on Mao's life.

Rather than the President celebrating Communism, which our Fore Fathers despised and feared, he should introduce to the people of China the idea of a Constitutional Republic. President Obama is a statist. He and his appointees believe that America is to blame for all the worlds ills. He believes the state is the ultimate arbiter of everything. He has appointed as Green Jobs Czar a committed Communist. President Obama believes, according to his own biographies, that the extreme world view is the right world view. I would like to see President Obama take the American flag to China and have them fly it in Bejing. What thinks you?

Following Obama's logic, there should be a "day of national service," instead of a flag hoisting event.
At any rate, this spot is not appropriate for a Chinese flag. If Obama wants to embrace our enemies, he can do it on his own time... not in the front yard of the home of "We the People." If he lets this celebration take place, next month there will be an application for a Muslim flag & celebration. This sets a very bad precedent!
I believe this is customary with any foreign nation to fly their flag on the south lawn of the white house to show comoradity with foreign nations who have supported the united states.
This was done with France, Germany, Japan and others to recognize those nations continued support by purchasing America's debt bonds.
Also China supplies most of our market place goods.

The rich represent only 2% of our economy. The poor & middle class the rest of the population. When the rich go out and buy Prada handbags for $2,000, that money mostly is going overseas, plus only a few are sold.
When the poor go to walmart and pay $10 for one of their handbags most of this money stays in the US, and the poor buy many, many, many more.
This is a global economy, and if you like it or not, we must bend over backwards to appease these foreign heavey weights, other wise we will need a wheel barrel full of $20 bills just to buy a loaf of bread.
Germany is the largest economy in Europe, and without them and their support in the past, we would be experiencing a national depression much worse then 1929.
China is now the largest market in the world, not the good ol' USA., so they get to call the shots as far as the world economy is concerned. Without them our dollar would be worthless. Raising their flag on the south lawn is very little to pay in exchange for a stable economy here in the states. Plus China has been financing our war on terror since the beginning by purchasing our debt bonds we keep floating. With out China, our war on terror woud be nonexistent.
It is in great disscust that i read the words of an "AMERICAN" and find an underlined hatred tword the very country you come from. If you Socialists think you have this country hold on tight, you are about to get the ride of your worthless life.
If the US would stop wasting it's money on "the war on terror" we wouldn't need China's money. Do you think the people in the mid-east are going to put an army together and come to the US? You’ve heard the saying “for God and Country” a phrase used in other times that represented what most Americans still believe when we take actions that represent the heart of our nation. But the same Government that established the concept of church and state or the separation of church and state which originally was set up not to keep the church out of government but the government out of church, freedom of religion and so forth having become corrupted by money, power and a host of other issues has turned it around. A relatively free America and parts of Europe were assaulted by who with what intent in the 1900’s…gee I don’t know maybe those who thought by seizing it they could prosper from it’s prosperity because they didn’t have enough of their own. The white house did not debunk anything. The white house lied. Who else would own such a lawn? Lots of post cards were taken from camera men standing inside the ellipse lawn and shooting the white house's famous South facade.
I cannot believe how much this administration has sunken. Chinese did not lie. This ellipse, which is located across the E Street, is the Southern lawn of the white house? If white house says this property does not belong to the white house, then may I ask who owns such a beautiful piece of property, which everybody thought it is part of the white house ever since long ago?

The Ellipse--where Fox News reported the PRC Celebration is to be held--is geodetic center, "Zero Milestone", from which all distances were measured within our nation. President Thomas Jefferson mandated our nation's Prime Meridien run from the front door of the President's House through the center of the Ellipse. Union troops, horses, cattle and mules were kept here during our Civil War. WWII emergency barracks were constructed within the Ellipse, not torn down until 1954. Our nation's first, oldest and still active (since 1917) army infantry division, "The Fighting First" is memorialized here, whose motto is "No Mission Too Difficult, No Sacrifice Too Great--Duty First". We the People should imprint this to the core of our hearts and minds. The 2nd Division also is memorialized within the Ellipse and stopped the communist's spring offensive during the Korean Conflict in 1951, at a loss of over 7000 U.S. infantry lives. The Ellipse, so very close to our White House, contains the cultural heritage of the United States of America. It is under the purview of both the National Park System and the Department of Interior. If 60 years of communism is to be celebrated within the Ellipse, honoring the sanctity of our nation's greatest sacrifice--Patriot blood shed in defense of our Constitutionally granted freedoms--will be greatly impaired. Over 7000 lives were lost to thwart the spread of communism and is nationally memorialized in the Ellipse---and a shameful outrage of 60 years of communism is to celebrated at the geodetic benchmark of our nation's foundation?? If Communism works in China, that is their country, they are free to govern their own nation any way they choose--and we are to respect--not celebrate--their choice and their people and their culture. However, the Ellipse is the Cultural Heritage of the United States of America. It is our citizen-centered honor of the ultimate sacrifices willingly shed through our nation's history that is preserved within the Ellipse: a significant reminder to any President looking out of his House from which he is granted the honor of protecting our Constitution and this important service is his main duty to our citizenry. We the People and the Department of Interior are also obligated and commissioned to protect our own cultural heritage.

President Obama wants to spread around the wealth of our nation. Everyone heard it, and anyone who has studied socialism can recognize that statement as socialistic thinking. Government take over of big business is frightening. Government programs offering money for Clunkers to boost the sales of big business is questionable. Health care reform suggesting death counseling raises red flags. Doctors are to receive the same compensation whether they are a specialist or not--does that sound like "equality" (socialism)? I read Ann Rynd's book, Atlas Shrugged, about a year ago as a college assignment. Much of this year's news has related back to her novel describing the take over of a socialistic system. China has long been known for their mistreatment of women and families. I find it questionable and somewhat shocking that our president would want to recognize Communist China on our soil, Who or what will Americans embrace next? Has our education system failed so badly that we can no longer connect the dots to see today's decisions in connection with past history and how these actions will affect the future stability of our nation? One world government seems to be the agenda. If so, I am sure it will not be a democratic government. Bit by bit we will give away our ideals and freedoms until we are fried without knowing we were even in the stew pot.

What if China's flag is mean't to establish a connection between the U.S and China to expand NATO? Since Russia and China are basically getting along, would it dictate that Russia and the U.S are indirect allies, going for basically the same kind of sphere of influence? (Supporting communism) It doesn't make sense Russia hates NATO, but U.S is trying to build a relation between communist China so that communist Russia might eventually give in and become a member of communist NATO along with China.
It can happen in these very small steps.

Remember, the communist leaders of Mao’s China are not called the “Butchers of Beijing” for nothing. Since seizing power in 1949, it is estimated that the communist government in China has murdered more than 50 million people (some reports say the number is over 70 million). As many as 3 million were killed in Mao’s initial revolution.
The historical record of Mao’s murderous march to power staggers the imagination. According to Chinese historian Jung Chang, from 1958-1961, 38 million Chinese people were starved or worked to death, and 27 million died in Laogai death camps through 1976. The Weekly Standard quotes Chinese freedom fighter Harry Wu as saying that 15 million died in China’s labor camps through 1997. According to Agence France Presse, as many as 5 million were killed in rural purges from 1946-1949, and 1 million were killed in urban purges through 1957.
Then there is Tiananmen Square in 1989, when the Communist Chinese army murdered more than 2,000 college students. The number first reported by Chinese officials was 2,600, but then was quickly retracted. Early American estimates put the number at more than 3,000. The true number of deaths will likely never be known.
But let’s bring the discussion closer to home. Does the name Chosin Reservoir mean anything to anyone? Obviously, the name doesn’t mean anything to President Barack Obama. However, that name means much to the tens of thousands of American families who lost husbands, sons, and fathers there.
By mid-1950, the Korean conflict was all but over. U.S. Army and Marine forces had handily defeated the North Korean army. It looked realistic that our fighting men would be home by Christmas. But from October of that year, more than 60,000 communist troops from China crossed the border into North Korea. During the next two months, the invading communist forces killed more than 4,000 American troops. Of course, China’s involvement in the conflict ensured a long, protracted war that resulted in the deaths of more than 50,000 brave Americans. And, of course, don’t forget that Communist China also helped the Communist North Vietnamese kill more than 50,000 U.S. soldiers and Marines.
Now President Barack Obama is going to hoist the Communist Chinese flag above the White House to “celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of PRC.”
This is the same PRC that murdered 50-70 million of its own people. This is the same PRC that murdered thousands of Chinese students at Tiananmen Square. This is the same PRC that sent tens of thousands of troops to kill American soldiers and Marines in North Korea and Vietnam. This is the same PRC that yet today persecutes, imprisons, tortures, and kills Christians, Buddhists, and other people of faith. This is the PRC that still operates torture chambers, labor camps, and death squads. This is the same PRC that demands that Chinese families have no more than one child: meaning death to children where there is already a sibling present in the home. This is the same PRC that Obama wants to “celebrate” by flying its flag above the White House.What will it take to rid ourselves of this man who lies about everything? Should Congressman Wilson of South Carolina had said instead, "You are ingenious, Mr. Uglypants Unduly, the rapacious covetous one who has a desperate desire for placing an enemy flag on OUR White House property? The RNC, first of all, must find a true leader to offset the moment to moment updates via email sent to all DNC groupees. We have no leadership. An Eygptian Negro head of the RNC...who knew he was from muslim roots? He fakes it well on the Hannity Show where Sean has a one-track mind and that is his own advancement among young women, it seems. We need some leaders who come from serious ranks of Americans. Romney may be an answer. There are others.
We need to rid this country of the predicted train wreck. Begin with the RNC lack of leadership from one of the most obvious of front men. The DNC has moment to moment updates and instructions sent out to all who will open the emailings. An Eygptian with muslim heritage is not the answer. Steele, go back to President Unduly and help his pack!
