For Gregoire, it depends on what your definition of "major" is...

According to a recently-released add from People for Chris Gregoire, "every major law enforcement group in Washington has endorsed Governor Chris Gregoire."

Really?

Here are the endorsements from law enforcement officers, taken directly from the Gregoire and Rossi websites (oh, and for the record, firefighters do not count as law enforcement):

Governor Gregoire:

Law Enforcement Administrators of Washington (LAW), Washington Council of Police & Sheriffs (WACOPS), Washington State Fraternal Order of Police, Washington State Patrol Lieutenants Association, and the Washington State Patrol Troopers Association

Dino Rossi:

King County Police Officer's Guild, Seattle Police Officers' Guild, King County Deputy Sheriff's Guild, The Port Orchard Police Association, Federal Way Police Officers Guild, Renton Police Officers Guild, Skamania County Law Enforcement Guild, Richland Police Officers Benefit Association, Redmond Police Association, Lakewood Police Independent Guild, Monroe Police Officers Guild, and the Steilacoom Officers Association.

I suppose it depends on what your definition of "major" is, but I imagine some law enforcement officers in King County might be a bit offended.

UPDATE: The Tacoma News Tribune covered this story today.

Blatantly misleading ads. This is so typical of Gregoire. She is really bad news.

Jennifer said:

She is getting desperate. The closer we get to the election, the more outrageous her claims become.

Jones said:

Desparate is one word for it; reckless is another. It should be a slap in the face to her supporters that the Queen thinks they are so incredibly stupid that they will believe anything that comes out of her mouth. I am glad the News Tribune picked up on this - kudos to Jason Hagey.
