Contrasting views on life

As a political junkie I couldn't help but notice the contrast between Gov. Sarah Palin's attitude toward her teenage daughter's pregnancy, and that of Sen. Barack Obama. When the news of Palin's soon-to-be-born grandchild came out, she and husband Todd Palin issued this statement.
We have been blessed with five wonderful children who we love with all our heart and mean everything to us. Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. We're proud of Bristol's decision to have her baby and even prouder to become grandparents. As Bristol faces the responsibilities of adulthood, she knows she has our unconditional love and support.
Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family. We ask the media to respect our daughter and Levi's privacy as has always been the tradition of children of candidates.
Compare this to Barack Obama's attitude when discussing sex education: "I've got two daughters. Nine years old and 6 years old. I am going to teach them first of all about values and morals. But if they make a mistake, I don't want them punished with a baby."

Yet another example of how Obama is a step backward, not a step forward for Democrats.
As I've said before--if you like Carter, you'll love Obama.
Carter? God help us. We are in great shape today. However, 2 months is a long time in politics. Palin should be front and center from here on out.
