Vote/Drill Now: Call Pelosi Today (202) 225-0100

Nancy Pelosi and company have effectively turned out the lights on Americans seeking relief at the pump. Last Wednesday, Democrats chose to recess for 5 weeks without a vote on offshore drilling. While Americans continue to pay through the nose, Speaker Pelosi and her fellow Democrats have literally gone on vacation.
Friday, GOP Representatives convened for an unprecedented extra-legislative session in what is being dubbed the Guerilla Congress. They are back on the floor today calling on the House leadership to take action on one of the most pressing issues of our time. In response, Democrats have killed the House cameras and the microphones. However, several GOP Representatives and an onslaught of excited tourists remain undaunted.
The atmosphere in the House is being described as electric. GOP Representatives are continually updating the party faithful via cell phones on Twitter.
Red County is encouraging all those who are fed up with the Democrats' inaction on this issue to call Speaker Pelosi's office and demand an emergency session of Congress for a vote on offshore drilling. Speaker Pelosi's phone number is (202) 225-0100.

Am I just ahead of the curve, or what? This is the second time today that a major blog has had an idea posted on it that I have been trumpeting for several weeks.
I've been posting Pelosi's phone number online for three weeks now, and calling her every business day to complain that she is on vacation instead of doing her damn job as a representative of the American people.
I’ve been, if you’ll pardon the expression, “campaigning” to get people to call Madam Speaker and whip her ass in gear. However I think we now need to make sure our Republican representatives understand that they have our support.
Call Minority Whip Roy Blunt at this number: (202) 225-0197
Call Minority Leader John Boehner at this number: (202)225-6205
Tell them that you support what they are doing.
My congressman, Dave Reichert (RINO) was in my home town today on a "walking tour." I'm upset that I missed it. I would have loved to have demanded of him, "Congressman Reichert, can you explain what you're doing here while the Republicans that are actually WORKING for the people are still on duty in DC?"
I strongly suggest everyone take a long look at Jim Vaughn (http://www.jimvaughnforcongress.com) if you live in the 8th District. He might be a democrat, but he's a Blue Dog, and he's the only democrat I have ever endorsed. The only thing we don't agree on is Kyoto.
