What hurts the most is...getting caught breaking the law

Rich Roesler, the Spokesman Review's Olympia correspondent, has an interesting blog post about the Democrats' ongoing trouble with copyright laws.
After a ruckus over inappropriately using copyrighted material from the Centralia Chronicle, the band whose music was featured in a controversial ad attacking Dino Rossi complained loudly.
Most recently, the Democrats put together an ad critiquing the Rossi campaign for not allowing their camera-toting people into Rossi's speaking events, set to the music of a Rascal Flatts song:
"What hurts the most
Was being so close
And having so much to say
And watchin' you walk away"
YouTube disabled the audio because it "contains an audio track that has not been authorized by all copyright holders." The ad, minus the sappy music, remains.

"Never have we infringed on anyone's copyright, and Mr. Rossi's statements and news clippings have been presented in context."
Does anyone else remember the Washington State Democratic Spokesman Kelly Steele saying this just last week? How curious...
