Gregoire having reservations?

After scathing reports of quid pro quo deals (remember the $140 million in tax revenue sacrificed by a deal between the Governor's office and the Spokanes?), it appears that Governor Gregoire is reconsidering her pandering to the tribes.
Now, KOMO news is reporting that the Governor's office has terminated a cigarette tax agreement with the Yakima Nation because cigarettes are being sold on the reservation to non-Indians without proper tax stamps.
And what about that $140 million? A public hearing has been called between the House Committee on Commerce & Labor and the Senate Committee on Labor, Commerce, Research and Development for July 31, 2008, at 1:00 pm in Senate Hearing Room 4 to discuss amending the Tribal-State Class III Gaming Compact between the Spokane Indian Tribe and the State of Washington.
Yep, that's right, the Queen is having reservations (pun intended) about her stealing $140 million from the citizens of the State of Washington.
I would encourage all who can to attend that public hearing and contact the following legislators on those committees with your concerns ahead of time.
House: Steve Conway, Chair (D); Alex Wood, Vice Chair (D); Cary Condotta, Ranking Minority Member (R); Bruce Chandler, Assistant Ranking Minority Member (R); Larry Crouse (R); Tami Green (D); Jim Moeller (D); and, Brendan Williams (D).
Senate: Jeanne Kohl-Welles, Chair (D); Karen Keiser, Vice Chair (D); Janea Holmquist, Ranking Minority Member (R); Rosa Franklin (D); Mike Hewitt (R); Curtis King (R); Ed Murray (D); and, Margarita Pretice (D).
