History Today....History in November

Empty rhetoric and inexperience have officially catapulted Barack Obama to the Democratic nomination. I guess it shouldn't come as a real surprise given the fact that even the most seasoned Democrats offer little more in terms of ideas and solutions to problems facing our country. While Obama has overcome commonsense within his own party, it is unlikely that the electorate will be so quick to turn over the keys in November.
If Hillary Clinton is not offered the VP slot, and it's unlikely she will be, expect a half-hearted show of unison and even less consolatory speak from the New York senator. A fractured Democratic party will certainly serve her interests as she eyes 2012. Party operatives will likely push hard for a Clinton/Obama ticket, but this "dream ticket" scenario is a nightmarish prospect for camp Obama.
John McCain will have plenty to compare and contrast as he highlights the differences between his record and his opponents. Obama's weak performance in the swing states is an encouraging sign for Republicans as they look to hang-on to the White House for another four years.
Barack Obama made history today but with his sparse resume and socialist agenda Republicans have a golden opportunity to see to it that he is history in November.

Ah but don't count out the MSM. I worte an entry on my blog about Obama's "change" Mantra and the MSM. Basically the only change I see in an Obama presidency (God forbid) is how the MSM will treat it. I predict, if Obama is elected, that come Jan 21st the stories about the econmy will be nothing but good news, stories about Iraq will also have a more positive light to them, I wouldn't be surprised if the MSM claims that Obama brought world peace to every cornor of the earth. After all to the MSM he is known as the Obamessiah.
