Gun Rights in Seattle Mayor's Crosshairs

Seattle Mayor Greg Nichols is attempting to ban guns on city-owned property. His proposed assault on the Second Amendment would essentially invalidate conceal and carry permits for all law-abiding gun owners within city limits. Of course, this flies in the face of our constitutional rights and directly contradicts Washington State law.
Like all cities, Seattle is not without its crime problems. Nichols' asinine proposal would surely make things worse. Disarming the citizenry would give the criminal element an obvious upper hand, thus encouraging more criminal activity. Why do so many on the left find this such a hard concept to grasp?
While rational thinking and sound judgment are clearly not the mayor's strong suits, this ill-conceived plan is a personal affront to all Washingtonians who wish to exercise their right to protect themselves and their families.
I wonder if Greg Nichols' security detail would be exempt from this plan? Given the blatant hypocrisy of most liberal politicians, it's likely they would be. Besides, disarming security officers would leave them without the basic essentials required to adequately do the job, much like Mayor Nichols.

nice post. frustrating topic, as always
Let's see, Liberals in Seattle want to take away the 2nd Ammendment from AMerican Citizens and the Liberals on the Supreme Court want to give Habeas Corpus rights to terrorists. I think this quote from Reagan says it all:
The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
"Disarming the citizenry would give the criminal element an obvious upper hand, thus encouraging more criminal activity."
That's faulty logic. Like criminals expect people in Seattle to be carrying guns. Hah.
