When you can't get Central Committees to drink your Kool-Aid, attack them. Nice Job Sue Horne, the following is a press release whining about the Yuba and Butte Central Committee's negative reaction to Horne's Campaign behavior.Apparently, Horne does not think that Central Committees are capable of independent thought. As you know by now, the California Supreme Court ruled that Proposition 22 (passed in 2000 by over 61% of the voters) is unconstitutional and it ordered that the State of California must allow homosexual couples to marry. Four members of the seven-member court have now imposed their will upon all Californians. While it is tempting to ring our hands at the sad state of affairs, the real question is "What will you do now?"

Doug Ose now has the distinction of being censured by three County Central Committees. In 1998, the Glenn and Yolo County Republican Central Committees Censured Ose for dirty campaigning. In 2008, Butte added itself to the list of Republican Committees fed up with Ose's boorish Campaigning. This weekend, a follow-up story will appear. Not to be outdone - Sue Horne whose campaign has floundered most of 2008, launched one of the most aggressive and egregious campaign attacks

The California State Supreme Court, lead by Chief Justice Ron George, repealed California law stating that marriage is between a man and a woman as set forth by both the Legislature and the people through the passage of Prop. 22.The Court's ruling is breathtaking for its overreach. Using words like "dignity" (23 times), "liberty" (34 times), and "privacy" (37 times) to describe same sex partners full right to marry, the Court overturned millennia of experience

Another election, another sample ballot ritual has arrived in the mailboxes throughout Los Angeles County with the litany of offices to choose from along with names that are foreign to the voters.
