The latest numbers mean that the fourth quarter could be a disaster! While our Governor travels back to Washington, DC and lobbies for implementation of the biggest tax increase in history, the Al Gore Cap and Trade climate change bunko scheme, the State of Washington’s economy is in the worst shape it has been in since the Boeing Supersonic Aircraft Bust in 1970! The latest unemployment numbers, which should have eased up a lot for... read more »

Obama Recession Chickens?
By Bob Clark | 08/18/09
Chickens, chickens everywhere! The Bryant family has owned Monroe Farm and Feed for many years. It is a busy place selling everything from Dog/Cat food, horse chow, cattle grain, hay, straw, farm animal pharmaceuticals to halters, harnesses, electric fences, gates, and you name it. Barry, Correy and Wendy run the establishment just west of Monroe on Highway 2 next to the Evergreen State Fair. Incidentally they lease their... read more »

This year's race for judge is heating up! The sudden death of Judge James Allendoerfer who sat on the bench of the Snohomish County Superior Court has caused sort of an election scramble to elect his replacement. Since this happened before the August primary in this off year election season, Judge Allendoerfer's untimely death has left three remaining years of his term to be filled. Rick Larsen’s Town Hall Goes Badly!
By Bob Clark | 08/13/09
Larsen ROBO calls to Republicans giving false information FAILS! They spent tons of money; mobilized hundreds of Union members, ROBO called in supporters, ROBO called Republicans giving them the wrong date/time of the Town Hall, and sent out thousands of e-mails all in a failed attempt to stymie debate on the Obama Health Care Disaster in Congress last night in Everett. Most of the people who showed up were over 40, educated and obviously... read more »

Rick Larsen to Pack Town Hall!
By Bob Clark | 08/12/09
Larsen changes location at last minute! Democrats are organizing to try and put a smiley face on Obama Care, and are taking directions from the White House. At the Last Minute: Rick Larsen moves Town Hall, organizes unions and others in the Snohomish County Democratic Party to pack the stadium in order to drown out any dissent. Working into the late hours last night, union and Acorn members produced hundreds of ‘hand made’ signs... read more »

Monroe’s Mayor’s Race!
By Bob Clark | 08/07/09
Three visions, which makes sense? Mitch Ruth and his local real estate operation “Ruth Reality” have been fixtures in the city of Monroe for many years. With the failing housing market and real estate essentially down the tubes in incorporated Monroe, rumors ran thru the city last week that Ruth has filed for Chapter 13 status for Ruth Reality (something I have not been able to confirm as of this date!). Ruth has in the... read more »

First Signs of Hyper-Inflation?
By Bob Clark | 08/05/09
No Way Out? Oil prices began to go up slowly some months ago on the world trading markets. The various business media outlets explained it as a fluke, at first. Then, when it began to go over $70 a barrel we suddenly began to be hit with bogus drive-by media stories of the end of the world’s supply (Not factoring in future discoveries, fact is that already known, undeveloped world oil field reserves top current known... read more »

Boeing is Gone, Conference Concludes!
By Bob Clark | 08/04/09
Was this Aaron Reardon’s last hurrah? As the 230 or so people wandered into the auditorium in Lynnwood there was a dark gloom hanging over the meeting. Here was the Washington State Democratic Party’s “fair haired boy” Aaron Reardon looking like he was at a funeral. What stings is the fact that this very well may have been a wake for his political future. Is this the end of the road for Aaron Reardon,... read more »

Appeal your Property Taxes NOW!
By Bob Clark | 07/26/09
APPEALING YOUR SNOHOMISH COUNTY PROPERTY TAX ASSESSMENTS First find out what the major problems are with your assessments by looking at comparable real estate sales during the period in question. For example the latest assessments are for the tax year 2009 actually means the period from 1 January 2008 to 1 January 2009 with the assessment effective on 01/01/2009! That means that when doing comparables one has to look at other property... read more »
