I have been writing for and editing Israpundit for a and half dozen years. Israpundit supports a strong Israel. Prior to doing so I practiced law for fifteen years then built a worldwide business. My daughter made aliya 18 years ago and became a diplomat in the Israel Foreign Ministry.

Understanding the “peace process”

What follows are two articles I wrote six years ago regarding the genesis of the Roadmap. Essentially it was negotiated between the State Department and the Saudis in the lead up to the Iraq War. The deal was Iraq for Palestine. Thomas Friedman introduced the Saudi Plan as coming from King Abdullah but in reality it was the State Department’s baby. Whither the "Peace Process?"

The peace process has not brought us one step closer to peace. Just the opposite, it has brought us closer to war - the closest we have been since Israel’s dramatic victory in ‘67. The Annapolis Summit promoted the last iteration of it, without any success. If anything it proved that the parties cannot agree on the terms.
