BIOGRAPHY

Raised in a family with strong values, Javier Manjarres' parents instilled in him the strong core conservative values he possesses today. Naturally confident and assertive, he learned early in his youth to take control of that confidence and put it to good use. His ambitious and resilient personality helped him to excel as a Business major in college and later as a small business owner. Having traveled to over 30 countries, Manjarres credits his experiences and understanding of many different cultures and customs for helping to mold him into man he has become. While on his travels abroad, he developed a passion for several types of combative arts. Two of the arts that have perfectly resonated with his strong personality, and that he is constantly pursuant of are Muay Thai and Israeli Krav Maga. Never one to mince his words, Manjarres wears his beliefs on his sleeve. He is not afraid to face down politicians and hold elected officials accountable. And not being someone to back down from asking tough questions, Manjarres has gained the reputation of being consistently aggressive and provocative. As Javier Manjarres would say, "The CRA is the proverbial right hook of the conservative movement."

"But you’re an Anglo"

By Javier Manjarres | 06/14/09

My good buddy Jack Furnari sent me this must read piece. "But you’re an Anglo"  By Jack Furnari   My first public act of political speech was spoken in Spanish. A language I do not speak.  The recent “retirement” of Cuban dictator Fidel Castro made me think of a brisk sunny day in New York City when I first found my political voice.  It was 1979, and I was on the train going to my job at... read more »

Charlie Crist runs for cover- (Part Deux)

By Javier Manjarres | 06/10/09

Being a man of my word, here is the follow up to “Charlie Crist runs for cover”. Let’s talk about the Barack Hussein Obama’s ‘porkulus’ package. It is being reported here on Redcounty.com that former Governor Jeb Bush accepted billions of federal dollars more than Governor Crist has just accepted. This is true. But ask yourself? What was the state of our economy at the time? Governor Bush... read more »

Charlie Crist runs for cover

By Javier Manjarres | 06/07/09

Lord knows there is an endless amount  of copy that can be written about Governor Charlie Crist. As the Miami-Dade Editor for Red County, I will reach back and use my dashing good looks, infectious charm, and my modest writing ability to try to get everything I’m thinking about onto digital paper, but I’m almost certain that this blog post will surely have be followed up by a part deux. Just recently published here on Red... read more »

The Palm Beach GOP gets out in front

By Javier Manjarres | 05/28/09

Just over a week ago, I was just strolling through City Place in West Palm Beach when I bumped into my ole buddy Sid Dinerstein. Was this chance meeting a coincidence? No, not exactly. I had previously asked Sid to meet with me to talk about the state of the Palm Beach County Republican Party. For those of you who do not know, Sid has been the Grand Poobah of the PBC GOP for the past 6 years.  I have to tell you, I learned a lot... read more »

Broward GOP: Batter up!!

By Javier Manjarres | 05/18/09

This past week, I sat down for lunch with Broward Republican Party Political Strategist Tim McClellan to discuss the structure and health of the local Republican Executive Committees (REC) throughout Florida. According to McClellan, the BREC (Broward Republican Executive Committee) is rapidly growing in numbers thanks to a combined effort involving the new Membership Chairman, Ed Napolitano, as well as himself.   McClellan told me that... read more »

CRA vs. NRSC...National Senatorial Committee's shameless endorsement of Crist over Rubio.

By Javier Manjarres | 05/12/09

Conservative Republican Alliance (CRA) Statement On The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) Endorsement Of Governor Crist It's quite obvious that in order to gain the endorsement of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), your stance on policies or issues is of little consequence. It is purely about whom they want to be admitted to their "club"- whatever those specious and arbitrary reasons are, we'd... read more »

The Specter of Charlie!

By Javier Manjarres | 04/29/09

Yesterday’s announcement by Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter that he would be permanently ‘reaching across the aisle' should be considered another wake-up call for the Republican Party. As we all have witnessed, Senator Spectacle has proven to be nothing but a ‘Lib’ in sheep’s clothing throughout most of his Senatorial career.  Just recently, Spectacle was one of three ‘moderate’ Republicans that... read more »
