Mr. Casey has served his country, science, and high technology industries for over thirty five years. He has been a national space policy advisor to the White House and Congress, a Space Shuttle engineer, consultant to NASA Headquarters, consultant to or President of several leading edge technology start-ups including among others, a global telecom data storage and satellite communications company, an advanced satellite launch systems engineering company, and a state-of-the-art computerized language translator company. After September 11, 2001 he took a detour from his high-tech career to lead a consulting company advising Afghanistan and Iraqi leaders on national reconstruction programs. During the same time he was chairman of a humanitarian organization that provided aid to women and children in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is currently President of VMS, Inc. and Director of its Space and Science Research Center (SSRC), in Orlando, Florida. VMS is a multi-disciplined company and with a staff of respected scientists and technology experts, providing clients with specialized services in management and policy direction in various fields. They include for example, space and solar science research, national space policy and space program development, natural disaster and hurricane assessment and preparedness, as well as high tech product engineering and development. The SSRC is also the leading US based research center for the study of the coming global climate change to a period of extreme cold. As such the SSRC advises national and international clients on the activity of the sun and how to prepare for the next cold climate era.
