221 years ago, America's Founding Fathers published 85 important articles, debating the most important issues of the time, including the ideas and reasoning behind the proposed new system of government and their interpretation of the Constitution. Publius and Publicola were some of the main Nom de Plume's used by those in support, while Brutus and Cato were often used by the opposition. Today, many people visit blogs and websites to... read more »

Bear Republic Bust
By Thomas Anthony Gordon | 06/16/09
California was once refered to as the Bear Flag Republic. Funny thing about bears is that if you feed them they will keep coming back, over and over, until you have no food, and then you are the food. So too is the habit of the Elected California Legislator. For the last decade, the Elected California Legislator has increased spending 5.37 percent a year, compared to a population-plus-inflation growth rate of 4.38 percent. If the... read more »

Vote NO six times
By Thomas Anthony Gordon | 05/18/09
Just in case you have yet to vote NO six times in tommorrow's election, stop by CaliforniaPropositions.org for some non-partisan analysis of why you should. Best case scenario, California will still be more than 15 billion in the hole, even IF these propositions were to pass, or 21+ billion in the hole if they don't. And raising taxes only serves to send business and taxpayers to greener pastures, out of state. It's time Sacramento cleans... read more »

A kick in the head -A blow to our wallet
By Thomas Anthony Gordon | 05/14/09

I'm refering to the citizen of the week pictured above, Richard Rodriguez, and his wild ride up the sidewalk and down the wrong side side of the street, careening out of control, smashing into a parked vehicle and finally running from the police. Sure, Richard finally "gave up" by lying down like the coward he is, and moments later an officer ran up and kicked... read more »
