Silence is (not) golden
By George Dienhart | 10/24/08
Though no longer in vogue, there used to be an saying- "TMI". It means "too much information". It's safe to say that this phrase hasn't been uttered in Georgia's 10th congressional district. In this district, which runs between Augusta and Athens, constituents would be hard pressed to even notice that there is a congressional contest this year. Or maybe they haven't been pressed hard enough. Neither candidate has raised any money. The incumbent,... read more »

Playing the race card in middle school.
By George Dienhart | 10/18/08
At 12 years of age, Ashleigh Jones has learned two valuable lessons. First, Liberal Democrats will stop at nothing to prop up Obama- they will even insult a child. Secondly, she learned that politics is a full contact sport. Sadly, Ashleigh went to school one day in a pink McCain- Palin shirt and was called a racist. What happened to her was deplorable, but unfortunately, it was predictable. Not only have I seen it before- it's happened to my... read more »

Will we learn what Jim Martin stands for?
By George Dienhart | 10/17/08
The Chambliss- Martin race for the US Senate is starting to tighten up. The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) has recently dumped over a half million dollars in to the campaign of Democrat Jim Martin. Unfortunately, Chambliss' seat is now seen close enough that the Democrats are willing to dump massive amounts of cash into the race. It's seems that as far as the DSCC is concerned, money makes the man.I, for one, do not agree. As I... read more »

Fair-taxa-paloza
By George Dienhart | 10/17/08
Having come from Illinois, I was shocked to see how much traction the Fair Tax has here. Up north, the Fair Tax was almost like a fairy tale. In Illinois, people felt that the Fair Tax must have originated in fact, but had since devolved into a myth. It was refreshing to see how alive it the concept of tax reform is in Georgia. The latest round of tax advocacy is ongoing. You can see it in the newest Senatorial ads. The DSCC has... read more »

Thank You Saxby
By George Dienhart | 10/16/08
There has been a lot of Saxby bashing lately, from the left and the right. The facts are, he probably doesn't deserve the beating he is getting. Here are some things to think of over the next 3 weeks. He has an ACU Rating of 92. His life rating from the ACU is 94.Leftist spin is blaming Chambliss for the financial meltdown.Has anybody ever heard of Barney Frank? What do we know about Jim Martin? Not much, as it turns out "On the Issues" has... read more »
