Brand Erosion and the GOP.

By George Dienhart | 11/10/08

AP did a nice job of slicing and dicing some election data. Their conclusion riled me at first. Then I realized that they were right. The last election was a rejection of the GOP- not conservatism. This is what we must remember as we move forward. The conservative movement is alive and well- as long as you are not an elected official. That last sentence has a twofold meeting. First, we Republicans took a savage beating at the polls.... read more »

Sarah Palin in Georgias future?

By George Dienhart | 11/10/08

No, not as a public servant. She may be coming here to stump for Saxby Chambliss. John McCain is already confirmed. The campaign is working with Sen. McCains people to get an event scheduled. When the AJC asked Chambliss spokesperson Michelle Grasso about Gov. Palin, she answered "She wants to come down, but right now we are working with her schedulers to see if that's possible," So that's good news for those who may want to call in sick to... read more »

Saxby sent the following (run off official)

By George Dienhart | 11/06/08

Let's get out there and support the better man...   Dear Friends, Although the votes are still being counted, we are working right now on a runoff election and I need your help! These next four weeks will be very intense as, once again, the National Democrats will pour millions into this race and they are hungry for another win!"With four razor-close U.S. Senate races yet to be decided, Democrats hoped on Wednesday to further expand their... read more »

Left Full Rudder, Aye!

By George Dienhart | 11/05/08

When I woke up this morning, the birds were still singing. Of course, their taxes won't go up. The sun was still shining- although, I've always thought it was a socialist. The sky, as I suspected was still blue. Though depressed, I've resigned myself not to act like the Democrats have acted for the past eight years. As always, I'll call 'em the way I see 'em. That's one thing that won't change. If Obama flips and decides to tack to the... read more »

Greetings from 2012

By George Dienhart | 11/03/08

A look forward to a possible future, November 6, 2012. As we go to the polls today, we must look back on the past four years and render judgment. Our judgment shall not be whether the last 4 years have been good or not- they haven't. Our judgment should be based on who offers the best roadmap out of this quagmire. Do we stay the course with 4 more years of President Obama, or do finally truly embrace the change offered by Sarah Palin? We've... read more »

GEORGIA: What Else are We Voting For?

By George Dienhart | 10/31/08

This year Georgians also get to vote for 3 constitutional amendments. These 3 amendments are important, yet have received almost no mention from the mainstream media. Perhaps if the amendments had been entitled Obama 1. Obama 2, and Obama 3 the media might have noticed. The AJC finally provided some coverage- here is their breakdown written by James Salzer and Stacy Shelton :AMENDMENT 1: Would provide tax breaks to individuals and... read more »

What kind of man is Obama?

By George Dienhart | 10/31/08

Apparently, a vindictive man. Matt Drudge is reporting that Obama has banned several reporters from his ego trip press junket. Their crime? Working for newspapers that endorsed John McCain. The three papers (New York Post, Dallas Morning News, and the Washington Times) are amongst the largest in the country. The excuse given to the three newspapers is that the massive "O-Force One" no longer has room for them. "O-Force One" is a Boeing 757 and... read more »

The Obamanation of Georgia politics...

By George Dienhart | 10/30/08

Everyone remembers Seinfeld, right? We all have our favorite episodes, but mine it the one where a character named Jimmy constantly refers to himself in the first person. The point of the gag is to point out how ridiculous people are when they do this. It's the awkwardness of the social situation that made this particular bit funny. Today, Jimmy made a socially awkward return. "Jimmy Martin is going to run Saxby Chambliss out of town."... read more »

Halloween Not as Scary as Election Day

By George Dienhart | 10/29/08

This year, Halloween won't necessarily be the scariest day of the year. As a Republican, it is becoming clear that election day will also be scary.  With this in mind, I present this list of scary Halloween/Election Day costumes.Small businessman. Tell me,  is there anything scarier than the taxes that are going to be levied on American small businessmen. They are scared- and they should be.Republican Congressman/Senator.  Rumored... read more »
