BIOGRAPHY

Mr. Dienhart is the Editor and Publisher of Georgia Politics Daily, and has been a political junkie his whole life. Having become one of the top political bloggers in the State of Illinois, Mr. Dienhart accepted the challenge of setting up and running a group blog for residents of his new home, Georgia. After launching the phenomenally successful Georgia Politics Daily, Mr. Dienhart has accepted a position as editor for Red County's Georgia portal. Politically, Mr. Dienhart "cut his teeth" in Illinois as well. He was a key staffer on the following campaigns:

  • Gen. John Borling's Senatorial campaign
  • Steve Rauschenberger 's Governors campaign
  • Steve Rauschenberger's Lt. Governor campaign
  • Ron Gidwitz's Governor's campaign
  • Countless local campaigns
  • Mr. Dienhart has interviewed Presidential candidates (Mitt Romney and John McCain) as well as conservative media stars (Matt Margolis and Bay Buchanan). He is an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Dienhart lives in South Suburban Atlanta with his wife and their four children.

This is why the left calls us Hypocrites...

By George Dienhart | 02/06/09

Hypocrisy, thy name is Oxendine. I hate having to ride fellow Republicans, but part of supporting the party is pointing out when Republicans act like idiots. First off, a quote form the Atlanta Journal Constitution from State Insurance Commissioner John Oxendine: "I strongly support the ability to sell alcoholic beverages at the Gwinnett Braves stadium." Just for the record Oxendine is from Gwinnett County. He speaking about House Bill 104-... read more »

1 TRILLION DOLLARS!!!

By George Dienhart | 02/05/09

Fr. David Epps is the local bishop for the Charismatic Episcopal Church. He also writes for the Fayette Citizen. I urge you to read his faith and family based column every week. I know him through the Marine Corps League chapter that we have both been active in forming. Today he sent me an email showing 1 Trillion Dollars would buy: 8,700 Porsche 911 Turbos ($126,000 each): $1,097,940,000 New York Yankees: $1,200,000,000 New York Mets:... read more »

Preaching Virtue While Practicing Vice.

By George Dienhart | 02/04/09

America was promised a new way of doing business. A new transparency in government. A new bi-partisan approach. We were told that only together could we face the challenges plaguing our nation. George W. Bush made these promises eight years ago. Barack Obama took this part of Bush's playbook and reused it in his own presidential election, and by doing so proved that it's business as usual in Washington D.C.The is a different... read more »

Wednesday Coffee- expansion of state goverment edition

By George Dienhart | 02/04/09

Today's story to watch? A salmonella fueled expansion of government. Georgians should respond "Nuts!" Georgia was embarrassed by a nationwide salmonella outbreak that allegedly started at a Georgia peanut plant. My sympathies for those who became ill, but it's not an excuse to grow government. This illustrates the point that the problem with politicians is they're politicians. Self interest is in their very nature. It fuels their existence and... read more »

Tuesday Morning Coffee.

By George Dienhart | 02/03/09

Sen. Johnny Isakson has actually injected something that might stimulate the economy into the discussion of the massive spending bill currently in front of the Senate. He has called for a fifteen thousand dollar homebuyer tax credit. Why does this make sense- lets look back at the last 10 years or so. President Clinton signs legislation making it easy for people who cannot afford a mortgage to obtain financing on homes that they could not... read more »

Hope and the Democrats

By George Dienhart | 01/19/09

My old friend and coworker Sven checked in. I've been avoiding him since the presidential elections. You see, though Sven believes he is in the American mainstream, he is actually well to the left of most Americans. He believes himself to be a newly minted American hero. You see, he just voted in his first presidential election. As he is an ardent communist, you can imagine who he voted for... So, I relaxed at home, taking myself back to a... read more »
