Homeschooling on the Rise

By Bob Ellis | 06/08/09

It's no secret that the public education system in America is in trouble and has been so for some time. Academic scores are mediocre at best, and in some areas children are graduating while barely being able to read.  More and more, public schools are indoctrinating children with pro-homosexual propaganda and with their secularist approach are teaching children that their religious values are something not relevant to the "real... read more »

Citizens for Liberty, the group that brought you the Rapid City Tax Day Tea Party, now has their website up and running. Citizens for Liberty is a group of about 40-50 concerned citizens from Rapid City and other areas in West River South Dakota who recognize the need for our country, state and community to return to the values of limited government and personal responsibility that made us the greatest nation on earth. While there have... read more »

Newspaper Ignorantly Publishes Presidential Assassination Threat

By Bob Ellis | 05/30/09

Have you ever wondered how so many news outlets could publish such complete nonsense and baseless assertions in what passes as "news" stories? Media bias comes to mind as an explanation, and that is certainly a big factor.  Agenda-driven liberals began to proliferate the journalistic corps decades ago, and many of them consider the facts and an honest representation of them a secondary consideration to their ideological agenda.... read more »

Cap and Trade Tax: A Mockery of American Values

By Bob Ellis | 05/20/09

Once again the liberals in congress are trying to pull a fast one on the American people (but then, I might have said, "Once again the sun rose today"). What is notable is that the fast-ones liberals are pulling are radically gaining in speed, and what I'm talking about is passing massive bills that have massive costs and massive consequences to the American people. Just a few months ago liberals fast-tracked the bloated porkulus... read more »

Despite Media Hype, American's Opinion of Govt Health Care Low

By Bob Ellis | 05/19/09

The Sioux Falls Argus Leader is touting a report from a Leftist Washington D.C. group called Families USA which claims 214,000 South Dakotans younger than 65 live in households that will spend 10% of their income on health care this year. These findings are being used to push the nation even faster toward the abyss of government health care. In a startling display of balance the Argus Leader did quote Mike Allgrunn,... read more »

Did Tea Party 2.0 Help or Hurt the GOP?

By Bob Ellis | 05/15/09

I tried to join in the "Tea Party 2.0" teleconference event sponsored by the Republican Governor's Association last night, but didn't have much luck. It took two attempts at registration on two different days before I heard a single thing back from the organization.  Then when I got the call last night to join the conference, I only heard a recorded message telling me they were sorry that they'd missed me. According to The... read more »

GOP Event: Tea Party 2.0 or Same Old 2.0?

By Bob Ellis | 05/14/09

Word is out that the Republican Governor's Association (RGA) is planning a conference call event tonight they have dubbed Tea Party 2.0. The teleconference is being led by Governors Mark Sanford of South Carolina and Rick Perry of Texas, who are admittedly a couple of the better Republican governors. In an interview last night on Fox News with Greta Van Susteren, Governor Sanford had this to say about Tea Party 2.0: Let me give you a... read more »

Victory for Freedom of Religion, Speech

By Bob Ellis | 05/14/09

According to the Liberty Legal Institute the IRS has decided that pastors who gathered in 2006 for conferences organized by the Niemoller Foundation did not violate any tax laws governing tax exempt organizations. A secularist organization had filed a complaint against the Niemoller Foundation for “encouraging pastors at the gatherings to mount voter registration drives and turn congregants out at the polls.” According to a... read more »

Senator Thune Fights for Bomber, National Security

By Bob Ellis | 05/12/09

We are once again seeing liberal priorities played out through the budget and spending process in Washington D.C., and once again those liberal priorities threaten the safety and security of the United States. During the Carter years, President Jimmy Carter allowed our military forces to become a hollow shell that was not ready to deal with the threats presented by a hostile world.  Consequently, when the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan... read more »

Are Liberals Now Abstaining from Global Warming Koolaid?

By Bob Ellis | 05/08/09

Are you ready to be shocked? The ultra-liberal Daily Kos features an article and poll on the Democrats' cap-and-trade tax scheme...and when I last checked, 79% of poll respondents said cap and trade is "Verging on a gigantic scam."   Now, understand that online polls are fairly easily manipulated...but to see this kind of lopsided vote on an ultra liberal website???  Perhaps even some liberals are waking from... read more »
