Americans Not Buying Anti-Capitalist Propaganda on Financial Crisis

By Bob Ellis | 10/10/08

Just when it seems you're about to lose all hope, afraid that too many Americans have bought into the Marxist propaganda spewed non-stop by the "mainstream" media, a light shines forth out of the darkness to give you hope.So it was today as I read at Fox News that a majority of Americans see government not as the savior in the current financial crisis, but as the villain.  A 53 percent majority thinks government involvement is not part of... read more »

By Bob Ellis | 10/09/08

A new report from the Tax Foundation tells us what most of us in South Dakota already knew: South Dakota is very business-friendly!According to the report released three days ago, South Dakota has the #2 best business tax climate, behind our neighbor Wyoming at #1.  Another neighbor, Montana, ranks well at #6.South Dakota has been ranked at #2 for several years now, thanks largely to our lack of a corporate or individual income tax. ... read more »

SD Dist. 32 Senate Candidate Elli Schwiesow: Second Amd Rights

By Bob Ellis | 10/09/08

The senate race for South Dakota's Legislative District 32 has garnered both local and state-wide attention. With a Democrat being challenged by the Republican who gave him the greatest support in the 2006 campaign, and both being challenged by the Republican-running-as-an-Independent who defeated the Republican in the 2006 primary, nothing is normal or party-line in this race. The players are incumbent Democrat Tom Katus, Republican Stan... read more »

Conservatives Have Misled the American People

By Bob Ellis | 10/09/08

Mary Mitchellon at the Chicago Sun-Times says Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin's aggressive, "negative tone" as she exposed Barack Obama's association with domestic terrorist Bill Ayers is "dangerous."  Mitchellon also says Palin should "apologize to the Obama campaign and the American people."I think Mitchellon has a point.  Conservatives have indeed been misleading liberals--and the nation--for many years now. ... read more »

A People Who Loathe Success

By Bob Ellis | 10/09/08

Since when did the people of the United States become a society which demonizes success and seeks to punish prosperity? In a nation built on free enterprise, hard work, ingenuity and risk-taking, we have now largely become a nation of whiners who look at those who have put in the effort and received the rewards as so undeserving of those rewards that we are quite willing to hire a thug (the government) to go and steal some of it from them.Of... read more »

Planned Parenthood Covers for Crime

By Bob Ellis | 10/08/08

Planned Parenthood is definitely not what you think. While the organization claims to be simply interested in helping women, it harbors a lot of darkness. We heard a few months ago about Planned Parenthood's racist roots. Those who have investigated this organization founded by Margaret Sanger will know of her racist leanings and disdain for people of color. But when the pro-life publication The Advocate called around to several PP clinics to... read more »

Joe Biden Fear-Mongers Against Truth-Telling

By Bob Ellis | 10/08/08

I really shouldn't have been shocked, but I was.  I've observed liberals in the wild for long enough, I should have known better.  Still, there I was with my guard down when the liberal struck according to his natural instincts. This morning I read from Breitbart.com that Joe Biden had engaged in some fear-mongering by branding Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin's statements about Barack Obama's association with domestic... read more »

In the latest news on that fiery conservative feminist Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, Fox News reports she has been endorsed by an unlikely source: the Los Angeles chapter president of the National Organization for Women (NOW). Independent Legislative Candidate Elli Schwiesow on Taxes

By Bob Ellis | 10/08/08

The South Dakota Legislative District 32 Senate race has shaped up to be one of the most interesting in our state. This year, three candidates will be running for the single seat. Incumbent Democrat Tom Katus was backed by "Republican" Stan Adelstein in 2006 after that year's incumbent Adelstein lost in the Republican primary to Elli Schwiesow. Though he supported Katus against his own party's nominee in 2006, Adelstein is running against Katus... read more »
