BIOGRAPHY
For the last 20 years involved in home building, real estate and mortgage finance. Grew up in Indianapolis and moved to Northwest Indiana 10 years ago. Married and proud father of four great kids. In 1999 got my first taste of politics in the City of Valparaiso mayoral election, we lost to a 5 term Democrat incumbent. During the next four years though the conservatives in our area really began a major re-tooling culminating in 2003 with Mayor Jon Costas being elected over that same incumbent in a landslide, delivering the entire city council in his coat-tails. I was privileged to chair that campaign. Over the next couple years of course we then were able to work closely with new Governor Mitch Daniels and dozens of county and state races. Currently I maintain several consulting contracts with small businesses, focusing on strategic planning and business development, as well as remaining very involved in the mortgage business. Blogging started as a hobby four years ago, with a friend asking if I would post my thoughts each day on local news. Our local media is dominated by two newspapers and opposing views were difficult to find. Today I am editing roughly 20 sites, active on social networks focused on politics and real estate, as well as more than busy with my family.

With ACORN activists in the news lately, mainly in Indianapolis and Lake County, elected officials finally stepped up to start investigating. The undecideds will decide our President
By Steve Dalton | 10/08/08
I was reading a pretty solid post on Tech Republican tonite with some thoughts on how to reach undecideds:According to the ANES, American National Elections Studies, since 1948 to 2004 an average of 19.4% decide post convention, an average of 12.3% decide in the final two weeks, and an average of 4.8% decide on election day. In general, '04 was even below the average. Now the author then takes a decidedly technological bend toward an online 12... read more »

Electoral College Tracker Tool
By Steve Dalton | 10/08/08
I've been watching Electoral-Vote.com for the last month, which has favored Pro-Obama moves in polls, but disregarding positive McCain news. This mashup found this morning on Five Ways to Visualize the US Elections is much better reflecting more polls and true nature of the toss up right now between the two candidates. read more »

Obama Election Fraud - More from Indiana
By Steve Dalton | 10/07/08
For some reason we seem to be blessed with more than our fair share of fraud here in Indiana this last week. It's probably related to the fact that Barack really wants to "steal" Indiana from McCain's column. Today from Advance Indiana we have the newest installment:Marion Co. GOP Chairman Tom John explains - (See video of Obama Fraud)"Beth White took an oath to uphold the laws of the State of Indiana. Yet, Beth White went on... read more »

Indiana Attorney General Race - Pick Zoeller
By Steve Dalton | 10/07/08
I know a bit about the Indiana Attorney General race this year. During the spring of 2007, I was excited about the potential for my good friends Mayor Jon Costas running for Attorney General in Indiana. Alas, Jon was soundly beaten at the party convention by current Deputy AG Greg Zoeller. As the dust settled though I came to learn more about our competitor, and find him to be absolutely the best candidate for the job in the... read more »
