Early Voting Favors Dino Rossi
By Michael Costello | 11/03/08
According to today's Seattle Post-Intelligencer, early voting is heaviest in Republican districts. With voter participation surging outside the Seattle metropolitan area, Democratic Gov. Chris Gregoire's re-election campaign faces a turnout deficit in her rematch against 2004 opponent Dino Rossi.A Seattle P-I analysis of voting returns in Washington shows that increased turnout in Republican-dominated counties gives Rossi an edge and that... read more »

Jerrold Nadler Says Obama Is Spineless
By Michael Costello | 11/03/08
Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) is on a roll. Now he's captured on tape here saying that Barack Obama, "didn't have the political courage to make a statement and walk out out (of Jeremiah Wright's racist, anti-Semitic church). And we're expect to believe that he will have "steel in his spine" when he faces his first international crisis? read more »

Will Obama Hand Georgia Over To Russia?
By Michael Costello | 11/03/08
Representative Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) says that we should let Russia have Georgia. Might this be the international crisis that Joe Biden promised? Rewarding a new imperial Russia would certainly not constitute a response that most Americans would recognize as the correct response. The critical remarks begin at about the 3:50 mark. read more »

Obama Promises To Raise Your Electric Bill - Skyrocket In Fact
By Michael Costello | 11/02/08
Don't believe me, believe the Anointed One himself.Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Even regardless of what I say about whether coal is good or bad. Because I'm capping greenhouse gases, coal power plants, you know, natural gas, you name it -- whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, uh, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money... read more »

By Michael Costello | 11/02/08
Let's see now. Barack Obama intends to maintain impossible "safety" hurdles that will make nuclear power plants impossible. And, he wants to force coal fired plants into bankruptcy. read more »

A Community Building Project For Palouse Pest-o-crats
By Michael Costello | 11/01/08
Instead of making nuisances of themselves by trying to block Wal-Mart or imposing taxes on plastic bags, I'd like to suggest that Charles "Dr. Chuck" Pezeshki and Chris Lupke take a more constructive role in saving the planet, as this woman has. Then, we'd know that they're sincere and not just small change totalitarians. It would also keep them out the hair of people who actually contribute to the Palouse economy.Video follows: read more »

Late May As Well Be Never. The Media Examine Obama, At Last
By Michael Costello | 10/31/08
Now they tell us! Perhaps confident that the election is in the bag, here and there individual journalists are suddenly taking little peeks under the rocks and are discovering unsavory information about their Chosen One, Barack Obama. I doubt that this has as much to do with a sudden crisis of conscience as it has to do with grasping for a shred of post-election credibility. A fine example was the exposé in the Washington Post this week about... read more »

Hasta La Vista, Boeing?
By Michael Costello | 10/30/08
Have labor unions driven Boeing out of Washington?I can still remember when Boeing was suffering a slump, back in the 1970's. There was billboard that read, "Will the last person leaving Seattle please turn out the lights?" "The likelihood of them moving out of state is 90, 95 percent in the next 10 years," Richard Aboulafia, an aviation analyst with Teal Group Corp, told P-I reporter Dan Richman....""Boeing doesn't need a place to go...that... read more »

Obama Tries To Bribe Uncooperative News Organization
By Michael Costello | 10/29/08
While most of the media have happily submitted to Barack Obama's seductions, the African Press International is a holdout. And the API claims to have a very unflattering videotape of Michelle Obama's rantings. API has been in discussions with Fox News to release the tape, but the Obama campaign has offered API $3 million to suppress it. API, it seems still possesses journalistic standards that have atrophied in the American press and has... read more »
