BIOGRAPHY
Ken Mettler is a longtime Kern County homebuilder and business owner. In 2006, Mettler was elected to the Kern High School District Board of Trustees, the largest high school district in the state. He is a lifelong conservative activist who recently chaired the successful YES on Prop 8 (traditional marriage) campaign for Kern County. In May 2009, Mettler was elected president of the state’s oldest and largest Republican volunteer organization – the California Republican Assembly (CRA).

On Wednesday, June 17th, the Assembly Education Committee heard testimony on SB 572, the bill that mandates every May 22nd as Harvey Milk Day in California.
