BIOGRAPHY

Michael Kerr is the Director of Business Development at Red County. He oversees the expansion of the Red County blog network and is also responsible for establishing various strategic relationships. Michael is also responsible for managing the ongoing relationship between contributors and the site.

Michael has an extensive background in sales and marketing. Prior to joining Red County, he spent fifteen years in the real estate industry, specializing as a marketing consultant.

Michael is active in local politics and has worked on a number of local and national political campaigns. He resides with his wife, April in Redondo, Washington.

Death Toll Climbs to 17

10 people were killed and 100 more were injured in clashes between protesters and police in Iran on Saturday. Some of the injured are reportedly seeking medical care at foreign embassies to avoid arrest. The official death toll is at 17. Police Clash with Protesters

Thousands of police have taken to the streets in Iran to quell protests and they are using water cannons, tear gas and live rounds to disburse the crowds. It is being reported that at least one man has been shot and several others injured by police. Stop Funding Terror- Defeat the 2009 Supplemental Appropriations Act

Erick Erickson has just posted an article at Red State regarding the 2009 Appropriations Act and the need to defeat this legislation. Every Red County reader should check it out because the Supplemental would allow for continued funding by multilateral institutions to Iran through the G-20 package. Gregoire's Use of Children for Photo-Op in Poor Taste

Governor Gregoire signed the "everything but marriage" bill yesterday and chose a children's classroom as the setting for her photo op. Surrounding by children, the Queen signed the legislation as photographers snapped away. However, not all the children were in attendance for the ceremony.
