By Michael Kerr | 05/20/08

The candidate who is inexplicably close to sewing up the Democratic nomination illustrated his grasp of the issues in a visit to the northwest yesterday. It turns out, Barack Obama is not familiar with the Hanford nuclear site. However, he assured the audience that he would bone-up on the issue on his way back to the airport. In related news, a seven year old with a Batman decoder ring deciphered Obama's campaign message. As suspected,... read more »

Candidate Beren: Reasoned Solutions to Energy Needs

By Michael Kerr | 05/15/08

While nuclear energy has been demonized by those on the left it remains a viable, cost effective remedy to our energy woes. France, China, and Japan all use nuclear energy and are reaping the benefits, while we remain stuck in our "Three Mile Island" mentality. The blatant hypocrisy of those on the left regarding our energy... read more »

Baghdad Jim Strikes Again

By Michael Kerr | 05/06/08

Congressman Jim McDermott has quite a track record. Whether he's violating Federal Law and House ethics standards by leaking illegally taped telephone conversations, or traveling to Baghdad during the run-up to war, "Baghdad Jim" continues to astonish us with his deft ability to undermine our nation's interests. At a May 3rd meeting at the Rainier Community Center, McDermott referred to our troops as "mercenaries" and said, "The... read more »

Gregoire Fails Washingtonians

By Michael Kerr | 05/04/08

Let's kick things off with a question posed, once upon a time, by a candidate seeking our nation's highest office; "Are you better off now than you were four years ago?" The electorate answered with a resounding "no" as Ronald Wilson Reagan defeated one of the most ineffectual presidents in our nation's history.Fast forward 18 years and that same question can be asked of Washingtonians regarding our state's governor's race. "Are you better off... read more »
