By Guy Montag | 03/03/09

"Here we stand or here we fallHistory won't care at allMake the bed light the lightLady Mercy won't be home tonight"Never have the lyrics to this beloved Queen song rung so true in San Berdo County.  As subpoenas fly and suspicions mount, everyone is left wondering when/where indictments will come.Regardless of the baseless rumors, it seems pretty evident that the cancer stems only from Former Assessor Bill Postmus and from some of the... read more »

By Guy Montag | 02/20/09

From the Riverside Press Enterprise:"In a statement released a short while ago, Dutton, the top Republican on the Senate's budget-writing panel, said he disagreed with Adams' vote but "political disagreements happen all the time." Arnold Appoints SB Residents

By Guy Montag | 06/10/08

When it comes to the party affiliation of Governor Schwarzenegger's appointments it really is a crapshoot.  Yesterday, I got an email from the Governor's office on the latest round of appointments and once again, there was one Republican out of three appointees from SB.  Congratulations to that lone Republican, Hesperia resident Erin Kirk.  She is the wife of Hesperia City Council Candidate Mark Kirk. "Erin Kirk, 31, of Hesperia,... read more »

By Guy Montag | 05/28/08

A guy in Denver who is pushing a petiton to create a city commission to be able to deal with "Extraterrestrial Affairs."  In order for him to give his commission on the ballot by petition, he is going to be showing a video of an alien, an intergalactic illegal one. When some of our local campaigns wrap up, maybe this should be their focus.  Many local pundits sound like they are from another planet.Beam me up! read more »

By Guy Montag | 05/15/08

It is a good thing that Senator Pete Knight isn't around to see the mess that the California State Supreme County has wrought today.  In a 4-3 decision by a court that has a supposed 6-1 "Republican" majority, they have overturned Knight's Proposition 22.  Get ready for an initiative to roll out that will ban gay marriage in the California State Constitution. read more »

Jimmy Carter and His Ideas Won't Go Away

By Guy Montag | 05/14/08

The more and more Obama speaks the more and more it seems like he is going to be fulfilling the second term of Jimmy Carter's Presidency.  The RNC has just posted a new video of theirs on YouTube that sums it all up nicely. "As American families face higher prices at the pump, Barack Obama opposes immediate relief and lower taxes on fuel. Instead, Obama has proposed new tax increases that will reduce oil production, increase dependence on... read more »
