Scrutinize climate planAir board member Roberts should throw weight behind Senate bill2:05 a.m. March 1, 2009In a fashion disturbingly reminiscent of the state Legislature's frenzied approval of a deeply flawed energy deregulation bill in 1996, the California Air Resources Board on Dec. 11 hastily approved the "Scoping Plan" for implementation of the landmark 2006 state law requiring the use of cleaner but more costly types of... read more »

Fundraiser for Congressman Calvert with honorary guest Congressman Lewis
By Jessica Austin | 02/19/09

The good news is not single one Republican voted for it. The bad news is there are going to be 2 more... read more »

What does it mean to be a "Conservative"?
By Jessica Austin | 02/10/09
As a senior at a liberal university who is majoring in political science, there is nothing more frustrating to me than people's lack of understanding of what conservatism is. Â You can be conservative, liberal, moderate and anything in between on a variety of philosophical, political, and moral issues. Â However, it is status-quo to stereotype people based off of a few issues, without taking into regard any of the others. Â This, I... read more »
