Observations And Questions Regarding Ft. Hood

Can any long-term lessons be absorbed from Nidal M. Hasan's cowardly and diabolical terrorist atrocity at Ft. Reflections After CSUF Veterans Event

This morning I attended the Veterans Day tribute at the Titan Student Union at CSU, Fullerton.  It lasted for about two hours.  There were traditional ceremonies and songs at the beginning and end, with some speeches in between.  A Scottish bagpipe player served up a good rendition of "Amazing Grace" and Taps at the conclusion.  CSUF Pres. I found this bit of news in the Local section of the OCR yesterday.  On Saturday, Nov. 7th, at 10:00 a.m., Lt. Gen. Although I disagree with most of the domestic and foreign policy views of Dianne Feinstein, she does have a couple of positives over a far left arrogant Barbara Boxer.  Boxer has accomplished little during many years in the Senate, and she doesn't respond to well written e-mails and letters.  Let's hope that a conservative can replace her in 2010. Canine Support Team Benefit

I saw this piece recently in the Life/Pets Section of the OCR, and it looks like a worthy cause.  A non-profit group called Canine Support Teams is sponsoring a golf event in Temecula on Friday.  The benefit will provide wounded veterans with assistance from service dogs. Don't Blame It On Rio
