Obama on Issues: Flashback
By Saulo G. Londono | 09/15/08
As the circus that this Presidential race has become enters its last stretch, I think we're finally getting back to the issues. Back in February I began looking at Barack's record as a State Senator because I felt that after all was said and done, this campaign would be won on the issues. I wrote about his awful record knowing that in the last weeks of October my non-political friends will call me for... read more »

Obama: Plagiarist? Liar?
By Saulo G. Londono | 09/10/08
As if Joe Biden wasn't enough of a plagiarist for one ticket, it seems like Obama is following down the same path. Here's Tom Tole's cartoon:Here's a link to the Washington Post webpage with the cartoon, so you can actually read it in full. Here's the actual text from Obama's speech, from yesterday, which has now created what's being referred to as "Lipstickgate":"John McCain says he's about change too. Exce- and and so I guess his whole angle is... read more »

Volunteers' Response to Sarah Palin Pick
By Saulo G. Londono | 08/29/08
I just wrote a post on Red County OCBlog about our volunteers' reaction to John McCain's pick for a running mate. It follows: John McCain's decision to pick Sarah Palin as his running mate is sending shockwaves through the blogosphere. I personally enjoyed reading Dan Schnur's take on the pick, where he breaks down the pros and cons and what the McCain campaign was probably thinking as they made this decision. My friends and... read more »

John McCain's decision to pick Sarah Palin as his running mate is sending shockwaves through the blogosphere. I personally enjoyed reading Dan Schnur's take on the pick, where he breaks down the pros and cons and what the McCain campaign was probably thinking as they made this decision.I've been waiting for a chance to write my first post for OCBlog (I've been blogging for the National blog) for a while, and now I have the... read more »

Some quick Bill Clinton speech math
By Saulo G. Londono | 08/27/08
20 minutes long13 mentions of Barack Obama0 mentions of John McCain0 mentions of George W. BushWasn't the former President supposed to set the pace/strategy for attacking McCain and tying him to the last eight years of the Bush Administration? Say what you will about whether or not Bill Clinton will stump for NObama, but he certainly didn't set the pace for attacking our candidate tonight; like so many Democrats were hoping he would.... read more »

Obama Watch: Barack on Taxes - The Day of Infamy
By Saulo G. Londono | 06/09/08
From billions to trillions; Obama is campaigning to move up the tax-raising food chain. After a busy primary season it's time to get back to Obama Watch, the series we started back in February to show why Americans will reject Barack's far left agenda in November. We've known for a long time that this would come down to a McCain-Obama showdown, but now it's official. With the departure of Hillary Clinton from the... read more »

Rep. Davis' Memo to GOP Leadership
By Saulo G. Londono | 05/18/08
Everyone should read this memo. You may agree or disagree with Rep. Davis' (R-Va.) political philosophy or the way he votes, but as far as numbers are concerned this guy knows his stuff. It's a long one, but I encourage you to take the time. I couldn't agree with him more on playing more offense; we shouldn't take for granted the fact that Democrats control Congress. Anyway, if you appreciate number crunching... read more »

Does the Greenspan Endorsement Matter?
By Saulo G. Londono | 04/07/08
So for the first time since it's become acceptable for him to endorse political candidates, Alan Greenspan has announced that he's voting for John McCain. Somehow I feel like his endorsement should be more important but does it matter? We've known for a long time that he's a Republican, so it's not like this is breaking news right? On the short term the endorsement helps McCain's credentials on the issue of the... read more »

Obama Watch: Barack on Guns
By Saulo G. Londono | 03/22/08
My colleagues have already written about the Rev. Wright controversy. I believe it hurts Obama in the General, but I would still much rather beat him on policy. So let's get back to the issues and take a look at Barack on Guns. To say that Barack Obama doesn't think much of the 2nd Amendment would be an understatement. Through his time in the State Senate he voted on several pieces of legislation... read more »
