BIOGRAPHY
Billy D. Schmidt is the President of Florida Political Solutions, LLC. In this role, he utilizes new web based tools, interactive social media, youth centered volunteer pipelines, and efficient administration of resources to run aggressive campaigns for his Republican clients.
Billy played a key role in harnessing new media technologies and social networking sites to work seamlessly along with conservative websites, he and others developed, for the McCain-Palin Student/Youth Campaign Initiative. He served as the Florida Communications Director and Tampa Bay Regional Co-Director for the 2008 campaign.
Mr Schmidt is also a research assistant at the Center for Urban Transportation Research at the University of South Florida. In this capacity, he researches and interprets data for local, state and national policy makers. As the former director of community and government affairs at the USF’s student government in Tampa, Billy served as the “chief lobbyist” on behalf of 290,000 students in the State University System. Here he successfully fought bills, assisted in bringing compromise with certain bills, and worked to create and pass new bills with Florida's Legislature.
He currently serves as a Precinct Committeeman as well as the e-Campaign Director for the Hillsborough County Republican Executive Committee. He was named Florida College Republican of the Year 2008-2009 and is the immediate past Chairman of the University of South Florida College Republicans and is a member of the Tampa Bay Young Republicans. Billy received a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of South Florida in December 2009.

Should your average Republican and far conservatives split? That seems to be the new idea being floated around by many deep conservatives. Many of these so called "deep conservatives" are willing to paint anyone remotely left of extreme right as a RINO (Republican In Name Only).
