Rumor Mill: Dina Nguyen Signs Johnson Clark

By Nick Naylor | 04/01/08

A reliable source has told me that Dina Nguyen, the Garden Grove Councilwoman who is taking on controversial Supervisor Janet Nguyen, has signed (or is about to sign) Johnson Clark Associates to navigate her campaign. This certainly is a big boost for Dina, who has seen her campaign get off to a bumpy start.Johnson Clark certainly knows the area, as they were the consultants for Van Tran's first Assembly run. And they know how to run a... read more »

Where do I sign up?

By Nick Naylor | 03/03/08

This is just kind of funny. A friend of mine noticed that Larry Dick is advertising on CraigsList in Washington DC to get, what appears to be paid precinct walkers. We wondered what they were paying, so we inquired... and what a princely sum it is: $500/mo AND the chance to live with in a 4,100 sq ft house with Barrett Tetlow.Frankly, I'm surprised he can even afford... read more »

By Nick Naylor | 01/31/08

Eric Linder over at Red County Riverside has a very interesting post on the financial dynamics of the 71st AD race between Neil Blais and Jeff Miller. Inside The Numbers: AD71 Posted by: Eric Linder | 01/31/2008 7:52 PM If you look on the surface, the race in AD71 appears to be neck and neck. At first glance, both Neil Blais and Jeff Miler have raised about $360,000, and both have about $230,000 Cash On Hand. But that's where the... read more »

Field Poll Shows Romney Up in OC

By Nick Naylor | 01/27/08

Last week, Field Poll came out with their findings for the GOP Presidential race in California. On the whole, it showed McCain with a ~4 point lead statewide. But as this isn't a statewide blog, I thought I'd dig a little deeper and see what was going on behind the Orange Curtain. Overall, in OC and San Diego (which Field Poll lumps into one region), Mitt Romney clings to a 1 point lead over John McCain. Why the 5 point difference... read more »
