Will the Truth Project Have an Impact on This Years Elections?

By Matt Kauble | 03/14/08

Ran across this ministry of Focus on the Family and it generated this question... If thousands of conservative Evangelicals are participating in this project how much of an impact will it have on the upcoming elections this year? Some have said that John McCain needs to do something similar in laying out the foundational principles of the Republican party while we wait to see who the Democrats select as their nominee.  Could this be... read more »

Could Homeschooling without a license be an outlawed act? One CA Appeals Court thinks so.

By Matt Kauble | 03/12/08

Received this from a trusted contact in Orange County.  This decision requiring a teachers credential could set precident that could eventually be applied to both Private Schools and Church Sunday Schools.  You do not have to be involved in homeschooling or a member of HSLDA to sign, as I am neither. "A California Court of Appeal recently decided that homeschooling is illegal in California unless a parent is a certified teacher. The... read more »

Does Tonia Uranga have the Kindee Durkee Machine Stamp of Approval?

By Matt Kauble | 03/07/08

First last year the Durkee Machine backed Laura Richardson over Jenny Orepeza for the 37th Congressional District.  Laura Richardson won. Then, the Durkee Machine tried to take over the Cerritos Community College Board trying to unseat 3 Republican incumbents, they failed to knock off the Republicans but were able to get Tina Cho, one of their four candidates into the open seat, left vacant from the retirement of conservative Democrat... read more »

Big Labor to Define John McCain, While Democrats Sort Themselves Out

By Matt Kauble | 03/06/08

Saw this article today and thought that it should receive a featured spot, given the importance of this year's election. AFL-CIO Gearing Up to Go After McCain  Wednesday, March 5, 2008 7:30 PM  WASHINGTON -- The AFL-CIO's leaders on Wednesday found a presidential candidate they can agree to focus on: Sen. John McCain. The nation's largest labor federation announced at its executive council meeting in San Diego that it would continue... read more »

Now With The Nomination Secured McCain Can't Rest On His Laurels

By Matt Kauble | 03/05/08

With Mike Huckabee's depature from the race, Senator John McCain is officially now our nominee.  I say officially despite the fact that he basically has been the defacto candidate after the February Super Duper Tuesday primary, because last night McCain secured the magic number of delegates.  Sort of like when a division leading baseball team everyone knows will go to the playoffs is not the official regular season champion of the... read more »

Barack Does Not Know His Bible

By Matt Kauble | 03/03/08

In a recent comment Barack Obama stated that Jesus endorsed same-sex marriage in the Sermon on the Mount passage found in Matthew's Gospel. (http://www.blueletterbible.org/Comm/chuck_smith/sg/mount.html)  In fact in Matthew 5 verses 27 through 32, Jesus elevates adultery to a thought crime and describes why God created marriage, which taken together seem to undermine Barack Obama's sly attempt to put words in Christ's mouth. In versus... read more »

Questions on the Future of the Republican Party

By Matt Kauble | 02/29/08

Being an active Republican you tend to get into conversations with other active Republicans on what internal policies are for the good of the party.  So in the interest of starting a discussion, that I hope will remain civil, I have drawn up 7 questions on the future of the Republican Party. I will give my answers to my own questions after filing closes and I have more time available. Any way here they are...   1. The... read more »

Is Barack Obama a Pied Piper?

By Matt Kauble | 02/26/08

Ran across an interesting article this morning written by Stephen Hayes.  In his description of Barack Obama, I was reminded of the children's story of the Pied Piper of Hamlin.  In very much the same manner Obama has captivated the hearts and minds of liberals and some moderates and conservatives who have not done their homework on who he is and where he stands have indicated that they may vote for this Pied Piper.  Below is... read more »

"If global warming gets any worse we'll all freeze to death"

By Matt Kauble | 02/25/08

Found this NewsMax editorial on the Global Warming Hype.  But first a little editorial from myself. Global Warming fear mongering is not a legitimate reason to be "eco-friendly" and sacrifice industry and jobs to the gods that some enviromentalists worship.  In fact there are only four reasons for being better stewards of the environment. 1. If it removes or limits our dependence on foreign sources of energy. 2. If it reduces the... read more »

Are the Leaders in the Democrat Party Trying to Keep Blacks Down? One Prominent African-American Thinks So.

By Matt Kauble | 02/25/08

Found a link to this article in my inbox this morning, thought it interesting enough to post. Black Leader: Democratic Party Architect of Racism By: Ronald Kessler Frances Rice, chairman of the National Black Republican Association, describes the Democratic Party as the architect of modern day racism. Rice, a retired Army lieutenant colonel and lawyer, says in an interview it was Republicans who pushed through much of the ground-breaking civil... read more »
