By Matt Kauble | 12/17/08

There is an old saying that those who fail to learn the proper lessons from history are doomed to repeat them.  So in this time of economic uncertainty what lessons can we learn from history as to how to escape from this current economic turmoil?During the early part of the Great Depression, FDR's administration kept coming up with public works projects designed to keep Americans busy. It was not until after the United States was drawn... read more »

First, because each of us who were their had our own vantage points I only know what I saw and heard.  So, I may be missing a whole lot of... read more »

What If the Supreme Court Says Obama is not a "Natural Born" Citizen

By Matt Kauble | 11/27/08

O.K. let's just say for the momment that the Berg vs. Obama case sides against Barack Obama, then does that make McCain President? Nope. As Joe Biden ran on the same ticket as Barack Obama and as the chosen electors are overwhelmingly Democrat electors.  Look for Joe Biden becoming the President.  As for who the Vice President look for Joe Biden to pick his own Vice President, at the top of the list look for West Virginia Senator Jay... read more »

Stop the Hissy Fit and Grow Up

By Matt Kauble | 11/07/08

Usually when conservatives lose we go back to our lives and tell each other better luck next time, let's take a look at what we did and didn't do and learn from our mistakes, et. al. We don't throw a massive hissy fit and walk the streets yelling at the top of our lungs profanity laced tirades. However, for the second straight night the No on 8 minions have descended in demonstration vowing the fight isn't over yet.  Protests erupt over... read more »

When Cold Wars Turn Hot

By Matt Kauble | 10/31/08

Some who read this analysis will say I am advocating a position that I truly am not and a situation I truly hope to avoid, but here I go.  Our nation is engaged in a Cold War of two competing worldviews.  One is the traditional Judeo-Christian conservative worldview that rewards honest work and the creation of new capital, believes traditional families are the cornstones of our society, and generally believes that we should allow individuals... read more »

Thoughts on the 3rd Debate & John McCain

By Matt Kauble | 10/15/08

While this debate did nothing to either campaign, and McCain performed much better than he did in the previous 2 debates, he had some missed opportunities and landed some good punches.  There is still 20 days left and as much as 13% of the electorate say they could still shift who they are supporting.  And there are a number of pollsters talking about how hard it is to factor out of their polls the "Bradley Effect", the effect where a... read more »

Socialism: The Killer of the Middle Class

By Matt Kauble | 09/07/08

Within the last eight years both major parties have been essentially socialist parties of varying commitment to that philosophy.  When President Bush signed instead of vetoed porked up Education, Transportation, Farming, Energy, Medical Care, & Appropriation Bills passed by a Republican Controlled Congress and then the current Democrat Controlled Congress, this signaled that the Republican Party had become just another socialist... read more »

Marriage: Not a Right, but a Responsibility

By Matt Kauble | 08/17/08

I have to question these Homosexual Activists who claim that marriage is a right that the rest of us have but that they do not.  Let me explain. The purpose of marriage is to deny yourself of your own rights and desires in the best interest of your spouse until death do you part. You are promising before God and everyone that through sickness and health, through bad and good times, to honor and cherish your spouse even when they do not... read more »
