New Clarus Poll May Spell Trouble for O'Malley
By Donna Cahill | 11/05/09
Fresh off GOP gubernatorial election upsets in New Jersey and Virginia, is there hope for a Republican comeback in Maryland? According to a recent poll, trouble may be brewing for Governor O'Malley in next year's election. The poll, conducted by the nonpartisan Clarus Research Group, interviewed 637 voters in Maryland between October 30 and November 2, 2009. Perhaps the most troubling sign for Maryland Governor O'Malley was that 48%... read more »
Funding for Postcards Included in Congress's Increased Budget
By Donna Cahill | 10/02/09
Yesterday, the U. S. Congress voted to increase its annual operating budget during the worst economic recession since World War II. The senate approved the bill with a vote of 62 to 38. Susan Collins of Maine was the only Republican senator to vote for the budget increase. Surprisingly, there was very little media coverage of this irresponsible vote. Perhaps, a few billion is not news worthy when President Obama and the Democrats... read more »

Where Was the Media Outrage During Bush Protests?
By Donna Cahill | 09/15/09
On Saturday, I attended the Taxpayer Protest March in Washington, DC. I was amazed at the civility and the size of the crowd. Even though the main stream media ignored the event, CNN Anchor Don Lemon did find time to comment on the "racial undertones" of the protesters. I did notice some inappropriate signs - which the media gleefully showed over and over again - that, in my opinion, represented a very small minority of... read more »

This Picture is Worth $1.27 Trillion (Current US Deficit) Words
By Donna Cahill | 08/14/09
When President Obama was elected, he and the Democrat controlled Congress promised the American people a new era of government. This new tone would be post partisan, fiscally responsible, transparent, lobbyist-free, open, honest and ethical. How are they doing so far? read more »

Viewer Discretion: Pictures of an Angry Mob
By Donna Cahill | 08/07/09
The Obama administration and the liberal Democrats are losing the debate on healthcare reform. Their poll number are tanking. Instead of recognizing that the American public does not want a complete overhaul of the U. S. healthcare system, the Democrats are blaming the public and are resorting to name calling. According to the White House, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Steny Hoyer, constiuents attending the towhhalls are part of... read more »

State Senator Dr. Andy Harris Discusses Healthcare Reform on FOX Business
By Donna Cahill | 07/02/09
U. S. healthcare reform is a top priority for President Obama. The president has been actively promoting his healthcare reform agenda with a government option at townhall meetings, on network interviews and at press conferences. Yesterday at a townhall meeting, the president said every American should have affordable healthcare. Unfortunately for those in attendance, the president offered few specifics on the cost or the... read more »

Kratovil sides with Pelosi and liberal envirnomental groups to pass Cap and Trade
By Donna Cahill | 06/29/09
The House narrowly passed Cap and Trade legislation on Friday with a vote of 219 to 212. Forty four Democrats broke rank and voted against the biggest tax increase in U. S. history. Unfortunately for the citizens of Maryland's first congressional district, Representative Frank Kratovil wasn't one of them. Kratovil's vote will negatively impact his constituents, especially farmers, middle class families and small... read more »
