I am a Constitutional Conservative and former 2010 candidate for U.S. Congress, in Washington's 1st Congressional District. A newcomer to the political arena, I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. With twenty-two years of experience as a financial advisor, my experience makes me uniquely qualified to address the economic problems we are currently facing.
I have has always had more than a passing interest in politics, usually entailing yelling at the political talk-shows on television. But, while I've always been disturbed at the level of government control, and overbearing entanglement in our personal lives, businesses, and economy, I've never felt that they would derail the entire country. Until now.
My Politics
Favorite President in History:
1) Ronald Reagan
2) Calvin Coolidge
My Favorite Politician Today:
Senator Jim DeMint
Most memorable Political Event Attended:
The Washington State GOP convention in 2010 in which I spoke in front of 1,200 people.
I'm a conservative with strong libertarian leanings, especially economically. I believe in the U.S. Constitution as originally intended by the founders (this is how they said it should be interpreted!), and that most, if not all of our problems stem from government's violation and abuse of it.
Favorite political quote (said by whom)?
"Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master." -- George Washington
“Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again.” -- Ronald Reagan
"I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them" -- Thomas Jefferson
"The issue today is the same as it has always been throughout history, whether man shall be allowed to govern himself or be ruled by a small elite." -- Thomas Jefferson
"How strangely will the Tools of a Tyrant pervert the plain Meaning of Words!" -- Samuel Adams
