BIOGRAPHY
Bryan Jaffe currently resides in St. Mary’s County, Md., where he is a member and treasurer of the county’s Republican Central Committee as well as a delegate to the Maryland State Republican Party. Additionally, he served as President of the St. Mary’s County Republican Club during the 2006 calendar year. He has been active in party politics all the way back to his college days, where he helped found the College Republicans of SUNY Buffalo in 1995 serving as treasurer. As President during the 1996 calendar year, he networked with local party and candidates to provide support for their campaigns. He has never been shy about voicing conservative opinions and stating the facts, even when it was unpopular to do so.
Bryan worked as a journalist covering local government in New York City from 1999 – 2003, before moving to St. Mary’s County where he worked as a journalist covering local government and the local school system for most of 2004. From late 2004 – 2006, he worked at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station for the Tester newspaper, where he reported on many of the latest cutting edge projects the Navy was responsible for. Following that, he spent time as the first Managing Editor for the County Times Newspaper, helping get the fledgling publication off the ground and established in the community. He currently works as a writer-editor for a national mental health agency as a writer-editor and webmaster.
Bryan was born and raised in the deep blue city of New York, in the blue state of New York in a liberal/socialist household. He once held many liberal beliefs and understands the Democratic/liberal mindset well all a result. Being from New York gives Bryan an excellent insight into just what makes living in a small town setting like St. Mary’s so special, and he is glad he and his wife can raise their son somewhere away from the concrete jungle of the big city. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from CUNY Queens College. He plans to run for reelection to the St. Mary’s Central Committee in 2010, and is gearing up to help good hearted conservative candidates in any way he can as they seek office during the 2010 election season.

Army Vet. to Kick-Off Campaign on Veterans Day
By Bryan Jaffe | 11/10/09
For the first time in years, Del. John Bohanan (D – 29B) will not have to campaign against a retired Naval officer who has seen at least seven decades in his lifetime. While Noel “Tim” Wood and Joseph Dick are fine men and true American heroes, Bohanan was always able to campaign as the young charismatic all-American family man and hold himself in contrast to his longer-lived opponents. But in 2010, he will find himself up... read more »

Great Scott! Maryland GOP Chairman Candidate Comes to St. Mary's
By Bryan Jaffe | 11/06/09
As she continues her quest to be elected Maryland Republican Party Chairwoman, Audrey Scott dropped in to meet with the St. Mary’s County Republican Central Committee Thursday evening. She outlined her goals and her plan to move the party forward and take advantage of the current climate to elect more Republicans across the state. The committees’ reaction was mixed, as she walked out with at least two of the four members present... read more »

Where Jersey and Virgina Lead, can Maryland Follow?
By Bryan Jaffe | 11/05/09
From watching Tuesday’s election returns from Virginia and New Jersey, we can see that even in blue states liberalism is failing. Obama talks a great game, and says the right things – such as promoting health care reform through “choice and competition,” – but is unable to produce legislation that matches the rhetoric. And people are wise to the double talk now. We the people know better, and we watch what the... read more »
A New Face in the Party?
By Bryan Jaffe | 09/29/09
The County Fair is a lively time of the year to be sure. There are many things to see and do. Rides for the children – both big and small – fun foods like funnel cakes and kettle corn, livestock, commercial vendors, the Saturday Morning parade and even the occasional lifelong Democrat freshly turned Republican and running for County Commissioner! Saturday morning, Sept. 26, saw the introduction of the Town Hall Alliance at the fair,... read more »

Lollargagged: Hoyer Opponent Scores Big at Lincoln-Reagan Dinner
By Bryan Jaffe | 09/14/09
The Annual St. Mary’s County Lincoln-Reagan Dinner was a big success this year with a nice turnout and excellent speakers. In addition to keynote speaker Ambassador Ellen Sauerbrey, 5th District Congressional Candidate Charles Lollar delivered a rousing address that had the room on their feet. Had not Sauerbrey been so compelling herself, Lollar could have easily stolen the show as he wooed the crowd and had them in the palm of his... read more »

Just Another 9-11 Story
By Bryan Jaffe | 09/11/09
Sept. 11, 2001; a pivotal day in our nation’s history and one many people will never forget. Most of us remember very clearly where we were when we first heard what happened, and ran to the nearest television to watch the horror unfold. Across the nation, for a brief moment in time, we were as one. We were one America, united in our horror and our anger, and for a time, we forgot all about our squabbles with one another as we turned our... read more »

Hoyer's Town Hall Folley
By Bryan Jaffe | 09/05/09
Steny Hoyer held his Town Hall Meeting Tuesday evening, and as predicted here, did everything possible to avoid straight answers. It is clear that Hoyer, like so many other Congressional representatives, is afraid to be honest with the people and tell them what the health care reform bill he supports would really mean for them. No small surprise given that this bill would destroy the greatest health care system in the world and replace... read more »

Town Hall or Stacked Forum?
By Bryan Jaffe | 09/01/09
Tonight Steny Hoyer will hold a “Town Hall” meeting on health care reform in Waldorf. The question that comes to mind is whether this will be a genuine meeting with the community, or, if like so many other town halls Democrats have put on recently, it will merely be forum stacked with health care supporters tossing softball questions at the good Congressman. By this time, we have heard reports of all sorts of chicanery, from... read more »

Local Letter Lies About Obamacare
By Bryan Jaffe | 08/21/09
In the Aug. 20th edition of The Enterprise, Patricia Dunlap made an interesting assertion in the Letters to the Editor page, and accused Obamacare opponents of lying. She then goes on to make her point by distorting the truth and offering half facts without providing all the relevant information. So, line by line, it is vital to get the truth out and not allow the Obama administrations false talking points to go unchallenged. Claim... read more »
