BIOGRAPHY
I became a Republican shortly after leaving the womb. I was born in central Vermont seven decades ago. The state was heavily Republican at the time. Never drifting off course I have remained a Republican every day since.
Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan have both influenced my life. After reading all of President Nixon’s books I finally became an in the heart Republican. Presently I am Chairman of the Tewksbury Republican Town Committee. My membership began more than 15 years ago becoming the Vice Chairman of the Town Committee. Approximately four years later I became Chairmen and remain chairman today.
For years I have submitted articles to the local newspapers. Editors at the Lowell Sun, Tewksbury Town Crier and the Tewksbury Town Advocate quickly began to recognize my name and my writing style. I also maintain a subscribers list of more than fifty people. Membership continues to grow at a pace I can maintain. I recall two members that canceled during the past seven years. My articles tend to be upbeat; straight forward with a patriotic theme. They are written to open minds and encourage readers to think beyond the moment and hopefully to where the action will lead.
I have never had an article rejected for being mean spirited to the best of my knowledge. I am prepared to defend my positions with any and all responsible readers.

Like most Junior Seniors I am reminded day after day... read more »

Can Americans afford National Healthcare?
By Don Ordway | 06/10/09
Will the thought of receiving something for nothing overpower the American Voter? Allowing them to turn their lives over to the government to deal with? Surrendering to Government Healthcare will be the most expensive freebee that they will ever receive, and they can bet all of our lives on that. Is Government Healthcare about fairness; or is it the transfer of power and control to the political machine that designed... read more »

It's time for Republicans to stop hyperventillating and fight to win
By Don Ordway | 06/06/09
Republicans must demonstrate the courage of their convictions. They must support the platform instead of blindly following the Democrats into the world of make believe. Even though supporting the platform is not always popular and at times it can be a giant challenge; the platform must not be ignored. Issues are important and they must be taken seriously. There will be Candidates that will take exception to certain issues... read more »
