Will Charlie Brown Deny the Messiah?
By Tom Hudson | 09/09/08
I was pleasantly surprised to read that Democrat candidate Charlie Brown has not yet endorsed Barack Obama. Now Brown is even refusing to say whether or not he will vote for Obama (whom Rush Limbaugh jokingly calls "the Messiah"). Perhaps before the cock crows, Charlie Brown will thrice deny ever knowing Barack Obama or associating with his supporters. When the folks at Politico.com asked him if he would want Obama to campaign for him,... read more »

Doug Ose's Campaign has Shaken Baby Syndrome
By Tom Hudson | 05/27/08
This afternoon, I attended the Ose Campaign event in Capitol Park where discredited Governor Pete Wilson endorsed Doug Ose for Congress because Senator McClintock had failed to help Pete Wilson raise taxes in 1991. I think I was the only person present who was not paid to be there by the Ose campaign, besides a handful of reporters who seemed even more disgusted by Doug Ose's desperation than I was. Unlike a normal press event, there was not a... read more »

Doug Ose for Wastewater Treatment Board - McClintock for Congress!
By Tom Hudson | 05/09/08
If I were to describe Doug Ose's debate performance last night with just one word, that word would be WASTEWATER. He just can't get enough of it! He brought up the subject of waste water treatment in response to numerous unrelated questions. I think he gave everyone the creeps with his fixation on waste water. Tom McClintock's performance could be summed up by the word CONSTITUTION. He has actually read it, he respects it, and he... read more »

PCRP: Placer County Republican Central Committee endorsements made by two-thirds vote are presumptively valid
By Tom Hudson | 04/28/08
The question of whether our county Republican committee may endorse a candidate in a contested partisan primary election has recently arisen. The general answer to this question is that Placer County Republican Party endorsements require the support of two-thirds of the Placer County Republican Central Committee members present and voting at a duly-noticed meeting. Our Bylaws do NOT provide exceptions in cases where wealthy liberals from... read more »

Poll Shows Doolittle Is Still Winning, Despite Attacks
By Tom Hudson | 12/05/07
Recently, the Associate Press mentioned a poll that indicated that John Doolittle was doing much better than most people believed. I dont like to comment on polls in general, since I think that many of them are biased to achieve a particular result. I also tend to avoid discussing internal campaign issues in public, since I think that helps the Democrats. However, this poll really intrigued me because it confirmed what I have said... read more »
