The Capitol Alert reports that 30 out of 40 State Senators has requested pay cuts through communications to the State Controller.

The State Controller's office is responsible for issuing payroll checks to the legislators and staff.

The majority of the Senators are asking their pay cuts be 5%, though it could be more, but this is a start.

However, GOP State Senators Sam Aanestad R-Grass Valley, Roy Ashburn R-Bakersfield, Dave Cogdill R-Modesto, Bob Dutton R-Rancho Cucamonga and Tony Strickland R-Moorpark have not submitted a letter to the Controller for pay cut.

We welcome those Senators to submit their reasons here on RedCounty as to why they are not going to take a voluntary cut of pay!

10:15 PM Update:  According to Capitol Alert - 7 more Senators have submitted requests for voluntary pay cuts, which brings the total to 37.  The final three Senators Sam Aanestad R-Grass Valley, Roy Ashburn R-Bakersfield and Roderick Wright D-Inglewood have not submitted their requests to the State Controller.

Senators Submitting for Pay Cuts

Allen,

Now why don't you post all the DEMOCRAT senators who have not submitted for a pay cut!! OMG!!

(This is the second time I have submitted this as the first time it didn't work.  If it's duplicated, that's the reason.)
