Starbucks' Stand for Safer Streets Spotlights 2010 Election Issue

See Guns/Self-defense piece by John Longenecker
Kudos to Starbucks for standing up to the international gun-ban mafia! Apparently the Brady Campaign started pressuring the Seattle-based coffee maker to discriminate against law abiding customers that choose to wear pistols for protection of our own lives and the lives of others. John Longenecker, other journalists, and apparently Starbucks, recognize the way in which armed citizens make our streets and other public places safer. Many honest social observers recognize how anti-gun idealogues and journalists consistently frame the issues in terms of "gun violence". Every day, we see stories about so-called gun violence.
"90 million Americans... have concluded – they have resolved – that it is better to live with stopping a crime than to live with the scarring of a crime you did not try to stop, and that includes not only yourself, but loved ones. Sometimes, on behalf of the life of a stranger."
Starbucks has courageously resisted the Brady Campaign's pressure to exclude armed customers from its outlets. Starbucks respects state and local laws. That means armed citizens are legal in many Western States, including California where obtaining a concealed pistol license can be very difficult (depending on the county where you live) but open carry is legal.
"When that criminal aggression is discouraged by the thug’s realization that he could be stopped rather quickly, then you see the second amendment at work. Subtle, but safer. Safer streets. Safer streets independent of silly public officials is the Second Amendment at work."
Longenecker makes the point that banning guns is actually a form of lawlessness even though it is dressed up in a form of false legitimacy!
"...if Brady hadn’t opened its fat face, it might not have become an issue with the potential of becoming a highlight of the 2010 election. We might see a lot more of it before November, 2010."
A Special Edition of Safe Streets In The Nationwide Concealed Carry Of Handguns will be released on a 2GB Flashdrive later in February with added features and updates. Check at: http://goodforthecountry.com/
