Sodomy viewed with “Abhorrence and Detestation”
By Dr. Richard Swier | 06/11/09 | 10:26 PM EDT | 2 Comments
The title of this article could have been in any major newspaper in America at the time our Founding Fathers were writing the Declaration of Independence or Constitution.
I have received numerous e-mails about President Obama’s appointment of Kevin Jennings, a homosexual activist, to a key post as an Assistant Deputy in the U.S. Department of Education and the Presidential Proclamation naming the month of June “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month”.
I decided to take the leap and cover these two important and related news events since the main stream media has not. I also wish to provide some interesting historical background on what our Fore Fathers thought about sodomy (the original word for homosexuality).
The first news item deals with the appointment of a man who will oversee the Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools in the Department of Education. I have written before about President Obama’s friend, confidant and new appointee Kevin Jennings. Kevin was the founder and former head of the activist Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN).
According to Mass Resistance:
Kevin Jennings, "While a teacher at Concord Academy in Massachusetts...founded the first "gay/straight alliance", which served as a model for activists around the country. His GLSEN-Boston conferences distributed the Little Black Book to kids in 2005, and promoted fisting to teens in 2000.
Under Jennings' leadership, GLSEN cleverly devised ways of getting at all the kids in our schools: the Day of Silence (April), Ally Week (October), No Name-Calling Week (January 21-25, in many schools), and now even the "Transgender Day of Remembrance"!
GLSEN has a formidable list of national corporate sponsors.
The second major news item is President Obama’s proclamation naming the month of June “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month”. The timing of this proclamation is particularly interesting because it came out just before his trip to the Middle East to address the Muslim world. In case you don’t know it the Muslim world abhors homosexuality (sodomy) and in most Muslim countries it is punishable by imprisonment or death. Just ask President Ahmadinejad from Iran, which has no “homosexual problem”.
In his proclamation President Obama cites “the Stonewall Inn in New York”. It is interesting to note that according to Apologetics Press:
Homosexuality was treated as a criminal offense in all of the original thirteen colonies, and eventually every one of the fifty states. Severe penalties were invoked for those who engaged in homosexuality. In fact, few Americans know that the penalty for homosexuality in several states was death—including New York, Vermont, Connecticut, and South Carolina. Most people nowadays would be shocked to learn that Thomas Jefferson advocated “dismemberment” as the penalty for homosexuality in his home state of Virginia, and even authored a bill to that effect.
For those who were not around then, very few establishments welcomed openly gay people in the 1950s and 1960s. Those that did were often bars, although bar owners and managers were rarely gay. The Stonewall Inn, at the time, was owned by the Mafia. It catered to an assortment of patrons, but it was known to be popular with the most marginalized people in the gay community: transvestites, effeminate young men, hustlers, and homeless youth. Police raids on gay bars were routine in the 1960s, but officers quickly lost control of the situation at the Stonewall Inn, and attracted a crowd that was incited to riot. So President Obama is immortalizing a riot.
So what happened? How did a destructive behavior turn into a potential civil right?
That is the issue Americans face today. History has shown that sodomy is destructive to cultures and society in general. The Catholic Church which tolerated homosexual behavior has suffered the consequences when homosexuals began to sodomize congregates, particularly young choir boys. The cost to the Catholic Church has been estimated at $1 billion. Its reputation is clearly tarnished forever. The World Health Organization has recognized the three main causes of the spread of the AIDS/HIV virus – prostitution, intravenous drug use and homosexual sex (sodomy). A recent study by the Massachusetts Department of Health found costs for health care for homosexuals rising due to the many physical and psychological ailments they bring on themselves, bisexuals being the most prone to psychological damage. The U.S. Supreme Court on June 8, 2009, at the insistence of the Obama administration, upheld the Department of Defense “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy signed into law by President Bill Clinton.
If you are a believer in Darwinism and evolution then you cannot believe in a homosexual gene. Darwin "noted that successful species produce more offspring in each generation than are needed to replace the adults who die . . . The species would thus have changed or evolved to favor traits that favor survival and reproduction," according to Nathan Tabor. Therefore any “gay gene” would have died off in a single generation.
So how do we get gay, lesbian, transgender and bisexual people? Answer: By personal choice or coercion.
If homosexuals cannot by definition reproduce then in order to maintain their behavior they must adopt or recruit new members to the fold. This is where GLSEN, Kevin Jennings and Barack Obama come in. They create an environment where in criticism of this behavior is considered hate speech or “bullying”. They give people, especially children, information that this behavior is OK, when in fact it is harmful and unhealthy, if not deadly. Then they make sure homosexuals become a protected class. All of these things have happened in states such as Massachusetts where Harvard endowed a chair on gay studies. Once schools begin celebrating Lesbian, Gay, Transgender and Bisexual month every year, and they will if Kevin Jennings has anything to say about it, your child will come home with books and pamphlets that will make you wonder where American values have gone. What if your high school held a “Transgender Prom” like in Boston?
Warning Florida: We may already be too late.
UPDATE: On Florida's East coast, Christopher J. Scolese, the Acting NASA Administrator who was appointed by President Obama earlier this year, encouraged NASA employees to become active gay rights proponents which he claimed reflects "American Values". His agency wide memo stated: "I encourage you to participate in the programs and activities planned at your NASA center in your community for LGBT Pride Month. If there aren't yet planned events at your center, I encourage you to organize one." (emphasis added)
UPDATE: World Net Daily reports:
Family advocates are outraged by a prom held at Boston City Hall that was open to children apparently as young as 12 featuring crossdressers, homosexual heavy petting, suspected drug use and a leather-clad doorman who teaches sexual bondage classes.
Children from middle schools and high schools across Massachusetts on May 9 attended a Youth Pride Day event ending with a prom inside of Boston City Hall sponsored by the Boston Alliance of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Youth, or BAGLY, a group seated on the Massachusetts Commission for GLBT Youth.
Boston Mayor Thomas Menino issued a proclamation welcoming homosexual and transgender youth to the celebration. A man in drag introduced a homosexual activist from Menino's office to read the letter. A video of that proclamation is below.
UPDATE: Gays decry Obama's stand on gay marriage case
By LINDA DEUTSCH and LISA LEFF
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Gay rights groups expressed dismay with the Obama administration Friday over its championing of the Defense of Marriage Act, a law the president pledged to try to repeal while on the campaign trail.
The government filed a motion late Thursday to dismiss the case of Arthur Smelt and Christopher Hammer, who are challenging the 1996 federal act. The law prevents couples in states that recognize same-sex unions from securing Social Security spousal benefits, filing joint taxes and other federal rights of marriage.
UPDATE: Obama to Extend Health Care, Benefits to Gay Partners of Federal Employees
According to FOX News: "President Obama, under growing criticism for not seeking to end the ban on openly gay men and women in the military, is extending benefits to same-sex partners of federal employees.
Obama plans to announce his decision on Wednesday in the Oval Office, a White House official said Tuesday. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because the president hadn't yet signed the presidential memorandum."

...the original legal term for homosexuality is buggery. But in the interest of fairness, I would repeat that President Obama was also incorrect in limiting June to just being LGBT Month. The Human Rights Campaign uses the full and proper acronym LGBTTQQIAP (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Transexual, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, Pansexual).
Don't shoot the messenger!
Gee, When is Prez. Obama going to claim 'Straight' month? I want a parade too!
