Orange County Sheriff Sandra Hutchens Endorses Deputy District Attornney Scott Steiner

Santa Ana----Deputy District Attorney Scott Steiner announced today that he has been endorsed by Orange County Sheriff Sandra Hutchens for Superior Court Judge.

“As a Deputy District Attorney, Scott has worked closely with my office for more than 10 years and most recently in the hardcore gang unit where he prosecuted violent gang members,” said Hutchens.  “I know that as a judge he will work to uphold public safety and protect the rights of victims in a fair and balanced manner.”

In addition to Sheriff Hutchens, Steiner has been endorsed by the retiring incumbent judge he is looking to replace, Judge Margaret Anderson.  He has also been endorsed by District Attorney Tony Rackauckas, Congressmen Dana Rohrabacher and Ed Royce, State Senators Lou Correa, Tom Harman, Bob Huff and Mimi Walters, Assembly Members Chuck Devore, Curt Hagman, Diane Harkey, Jim Silva, Jose Solorio and Van Tran, nearly a dozen mayors from throughout Orange County, the Orange County Narcotics Officers' Association, dozens of prosecutors and over 40 sitting Superior Court Judges.

“I am truly humbled and honored to have the endorsement of Orange County Sheriff Hutchens,” said Steiner. “If given the chance, I hope to continue to work with her and her department as a Superior Court Judge.”

Try, Try, Again

How do readers handicap this race? Didn't Scot run for Orange City Council once, and another time for Judge and lose both times? Why will he have any better luck now?

Well,

considering Scott is:

a)unopposed

b)has raised $70,000 so far

c) has a million and one endorsements

and d) has the golden ballot title of "deputy district attorney"

I'd say Scott's chances of getting elected are excellent.

You would think "The

You would think "The Appointed One" has been around for 10 years. Steiner is the choice however.

Try again?

He did run in Orange 10 years ago, but he's never run for judge.  Check your facts.

The Appointed One and 10

The Appointed One and 10 years was a reference to Hutchens and her endorsement which would infer she's been around that long

It doesn't seem fair that

It doesn't seem fair that Scot gets to be a judge when Clauda Alvarez of the D.A.'s office has wanted to be one for more time. I think it is racism. They just don't help brown ladies get elected judge. No es Justo! No justicia, No Paz!
