Recently, the potential sale of the
Jim Righemier has been writing about it in his weekly Daily Pilot column, Rigonomics. Also, he has started a facebook page and a blog in order to bring attention to the issue and fight for local control of the fairgrounds.
On the other side, OC Marketplace owner, Jeff Teller, has hired Fauble Public Affairs to derail the sale and keep control of the fair in state hands. The involvement of Fauble was discovered when, Brian Lochrie, a Fauble employee, sloppily started a Facebook page.
If you are interested in finding out more information about the potential sale or would like to provide your input on the issue, Assemlymembers Van Tran and Jose Solorio will be holding a informational hearing on Monday.

This informational hearing will allow panelists and attendees an opportunity to share their thoughts, ideas, and concerns regarding the sale of the Orange County Fairgrounds. A representative from the California Department of General Services will also be at the hearing to discuss the process currently underway for the sale of the Orange County Fairgrounds.

Thank you for promoting the event Iron Grip! We had more than 300 people in attendance protesting the sale of the fairgrounds. I should take offense to your "sloppily" comment, but since you can't seem to spell Faubel's name right... well... those in glass houses...
From a conservative perspective though, please explain how charging Orange County taxpayers $180 million or more for fairgrounds that we already own is wise. I thought Sacramento had a spending problem, not a revenue problem. Why should Orange County (again) be a donor county and send an additional $180 million to Sacramento just to keep the fairgrounds as is.
