When In The Course Of Human Events....

DOWNERS GROVE, IL. (NS/NMJ) - “When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.” – The Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776

These are powerful and truthful words; words that officially launched a war; words that birthed a nation. These words, written by Thomas Jefferson and crafted with the collaboration of Benjamin Franklin and John Adams, brought forth to the world a country based on the philosophies of Cicero, Aristotle, Hobbes, Burke and Locke to name but a few; philosophies derived of a comprehensive understanding of Natural Law.

Over the years, and because of our adherence to the words and philosophies of these great men, we have evolved into a nation that serves as a “shining beacon” of liberty and freedom for all the oppressed of the world. The United States of America, throughout its existence, has served as the vehicle of hope for tens of millions who exist and have existed under the oppression of the tyrannical everywhere in the world.

Yet today, as people lay dead and dying at the hands of Islamist despots, simply because they dared to quest for freedom, the leaders of our nation – the elected caretakers of the beacon of liberty and freedom – stand indifferent to a call for solidarity; they exist deaf to the pleas for help. As pro-freedom protesters take their lives in their hands in pursuit of liberty, the leader of the free world extends a hand in friendship to the very Islamist tyrants whose hands are stained with the blood of the innocent.

In Honduras, the military, judiciary and Honduran congress removed that country’s president because he was attempting to illegally extend his tenure in office – attempting a bloodless coup – in usurpation of that country’s constitution. The people of Honduras – in the form of that country’s military, judiciary and congress – stood up to tyranny by exorcising the Marxist cancer that threatened that nation’s sovereignty. Yet, the leader of the free world – and his secretary of state – sided with the tyrannical, calling for the reinstatement of ousted despot who tried to destroy their democracy.

Today, it would seem, the United States has seated as president a man who possess no value for the tenets of Natural Law; who sees no duty to maintain the beacon of freedom and liberty; and who purposely and deliberately turns a deaf ear to the cries for freedom from every corner of the Earth in deference to the will of the one-world philosophy of neo-Marxism.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. – That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, – That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”

Our Founders and Framers also believed that government was a creation of the people, instituted not to lord over the people, not to legislate its collective personal philosophy unto the citizenry, but to serve the citizenry; to guarantee each citizen’s rights, whether that citizen is of the majority or the minority.

Today, the citizenry has either abdicated its right of power over government, forgotten that government is derived of the will of the people, or both. Regardless of the reason, the citizenry of the United States stands delinquent – for the most part – in its responsibility to provide not only oversight to the governmental process, but to its responsibility to protect government – by virtue of the election process – from the politically opportunistic and those whose goal it is to destroy our country.

As we stand witness to an egregious abuse of power by the Executive and Legislative Branches of government in the legislation and execution of exchanging public funds – taxpayer dollars – for special interest ownership of private sector companies, many of us recognize that we stand at a moment in time when the counter-culture “revolutionaries” of the 1960s and 1970s – neo-Marxists who adhere to the philosophies of Saul Alinsky and Frankfurt School – are now in control of our government and that they intend to “re-invent” our nation in an effort to transform it into a Socialist Democracy, not unlike the failed model of many European nations.

Today, because of neglecting our constitutional duty to civic responsibility and governmental oversight, politics has replaced government and Marxist collectivist ideology has replaced the philosophies and belief systems of our Founders and Framers and we have only ourselves to blame.

“Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.”

Today, we are told by the powers that be that if you believe in defending the United States Constitution, that if you believe in the sanctity of our Charters of Freedom, that if you believe in sovereignty and allegiance to our great nation, that the Department of Homeland Security considers you someone about whom they should be concerned. What a difference forty years makes.

As we celebrate the 233rd anniversary of the birth of our nation, no doubt we will all enjoy the pomp and circumstance, the family gatherings and community events, and rightly so. We are right to celebrate the incredible achievements of those great men who had the vision of liberty and freedom, not just for our country, but for all men and women everywhere and anywhere. But as we celebrate, I dare say, it is time for some solemn reflection.

As we celebrate the birth of our nation we all need to evaluate what we have done – each of us – to serve, protect and defend our Charters of Freedom from the nefarious. We need to be honest enough to ask ourselves whether we have really sacrificed anything at all for our liberty and freedom, gifts bequeathed to us by true patriots at a cost of so much blood and treasure throughout the ages.

As we gather to commemorate the true sacrifice of those who successfully executed the American Revolution, we need to honestly ask if we have really given of ourselves in defense of our country. Have we researched the candidates beyond their bumper sticker talking points? Have we researched the backgrounds and philosophies of those who would lead our country beyond the blather of talk radio and beyond the agenda-driven mainstream media? Have we supported grassroots programs meant to educate the next generation in preparation for their ascendance to the helm of leadership? Or have we been nothing but narcissistic and self-centered, leaving the hard work of protecting our country to others while we selfishly reap the benefits of the oversight and protection they provide.

It is time that we ask ourselves some hard questions. It is time that we ask ourselves if we are, indeed, patriots. It is time – it is time – to rededicate ourselves to the preservation of our country and the extension of freedom and liberty for everyone and anyone, everywhere and anywhere.

“And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.”

Apostasy

I am an apostate according to the Church of Cultural Relativism, which is functionally the  dominant religion of our country and Europe.  Most liberal Christians and Jews belong to the CCR, Muslims mostly do not.  I am an apostate because I believe in discrimination.  This is my pitch to get you to join in the rebellion against the CCR.    

 

I parted company with the CCR because its members refused to acknowledge and act on the standards of acceptability we apply to any ideology that wants a home in America.  These standards are set out in our Constitution and our laws.  Most of my father’s generation discriminated against German National Socialism and Russian Communism without regret or apology.  On a smaller scale, we said that the Mormon belief in polygamy was unacceptable, and most of them complied.    

 

But during my lifetime, the CCR has gained such a firm grip on our views of right and wrong that its members are unable to discriminate against the latest ideology designed to compete with liberal democracy—the one contained within Islamic law. 

 

This ideology fails to qualify for membership in the American family of ideologies for many reasons, but the main ones are its use of violence to spread its dominance and its failure to promote equality.  In Islamic law, spreading the dominance of Islam is the prime directive and the use of violence toward this end is not prohibited.  It fails to qualify by our standard of equality for all because Muslims are favored over non-Muslims and men are favored over women.  These failures are compounded and magnified by the lack of separation between religion and politics in Islamic law.   

 

One of many ironies in this situation is that members of the CCR criticize apostates for failing to follow the American principle of equality.  They claim we are stereotyping Islam.  They claim that Islam is just a variant of Christianity and Judaism, and no threat to anyone.  Where do they get their information about Islamic law?  From professional Muslims whose life work is to sell Islam.  CCR members want to be told that there is no problem, and that is what they hear.  They prefer to hear that comforting message rather than the disquieting truth about Islam by former Muslims who have the courage to speak out.    

 

I do not expect that they would undertake research into Islamic law, and it is unnecessary.  Simply reading the headlines of the news coming out of the Islamic Middle East should cause them to have doubts about Islam.  Just looking at the conditions prevailing in Islamic countries should make them wonder.  If they read about what is happening to the Copts in Egypt, they will get a more realistic view of how Islam operates.  Certainly politics and cultural issues play a part, but the central role played by the religion cannot reasonably be missed. 

 

I see three main reasons why members do not recognize that Islam is unqualified to be in America

 

The first is that the members of the CCR are afraid of Muslims.  Many Muslims have died to produce that effect, and many Muslim leaders maintain a very aggressive stance built on that fear. 

 

The second reason is that they fear being labeled with names that will ostracize them, just as they attempt to do to apostates.  This comes with their realization that they do not have the knowledge of Islam that could defend them from name calling and worse, should they decide to leave the church.  So they remain in the fold and attempt to suppress their fear by showing contempt for apostates.    

 

The third reason is that they cannot imagine that Muslims actually believe what the Koran says.  CCR members are mostly secular-minded people, even if they identify with a religion.  They cannot grasp the power of true belief.  So they discount the reports of apostates who claim that Muslims actually do believe what the Koran says.  They somehow manage to maintain this attitude even as they see daily events in the Middle East and Asia that prove the opposite. 

 

So, if my pitch has worked you are ready to leave the church but feel the need to learn more.  You will be attacked, so arm yourself with knowledge.  Start here and here.

Zakat

The Obama administration is concerned that the federal government may be restricting Muslims’ right to contribute zakat (alms) as they are required to do.  Inquiring minds want to know—who are the recipients of this money?

 

As Jerry Gordon notes, quoting the Mission Islam website:


Zakat recipients would include the poor and needy, administrators of Zakat, debtors, converts to Islam, bondsmen, wayfarers and those fulfilling the “way of Allah”, Jihad. Note this comment:


By this is meant to finance a Jihad effort in the path of Allah, not for Jihad for other reasons. The fighter (Mujahid) will be given as salary what will be enough for him. If he needs to buy arms or some other supplies related to the war effort, Zakat money should be used provided the effort is to raise the banner of Islam.
