I have a friend named Mohamed Al-Darsani. Mohamed is the Imam and Director of the Islamic Center for Peace in Fort Myers, Florida. The Imam goes from church to synagogue talking about Islam and how it is a "religion of peace". I agree that most American Muslims are peaceful and want nothing more for their family than what every American wants - freedom and prosperity.

I also agree with Imam Al Darsani that radical Muslims are a major problem for Islam. My question to Mohamed, each time I see him, is: What are Muslims going to do about the violence and hate in Islam?

Here are some startling statistics from the Islam: The Religion of Peace web site:

In 2007 Islam and Judaism's holiest holidays overlapped for 10 days. Muslims racked up 397 dead bodies in 94 terror attacks across 10 countries during this time... while Jews worked on their 159th Nobel Prize.

More people are killed by Islamists each year than in all 350 years of the Spanish Inquisition combined. (source)

Islamic terrorists murder more people everyday than the Ku Klux Klan has in the last 50 years. (source)

More civilians were killed by Muslim extremists in two hours on September 11th than in the 36 years of sectarian conflict in Northern Ireland. (source)

Finally, since September 11, 2001 radical Islamists have conducted 12,334 attacks killing thousands of innocent men, women and children. This does not count the radical Islamist attack in Mumbai, India.

I ask the Imam again, what are you going to do about this "Religion of Peace"?
