A good old fashion north county insider says there was a meeting of various Republican elected and party officials - mostly from north county - last week. One of the topics was the increasing Democrat presence in north county. I hear that there was some griping that Supervisor Bill Horn, who has been enthroned in north county for almost twenty years, doesn't have a political operation that registers voters or builds Republican clubs or the Republican party. Maybe they drew lots as to which of them would take Horn on... after all Horn's campaign account has less money in the bank than my last car cost. Whatever is Mr. Horn going to do when the developers can't (or maybe even if they can, won't) pull his feet out of the fire?
