Assemblywoman Salas - Using Govt Property for Campaign Kickoff?
By South Bayster | 01/09/09 | 08:35 AM EDT | 0 Comments
A press release from former Chula Vista City Councilwoman, now Assemblywoman Mary Salas, announcing her campaign for State Senate, was floating around this morning. Here is part of the text:
"We would like to extend an invitation for you to attend Assemblymember Mary Salas' press conference where she will formally announce her race for the 40th Senate District in 2010. The press conference is scheduled this Saturday, January 10th at 10:30am. The Press Conference will take place at the Chula Vista Veterans Home at 700 East Naples Court, Chula Vista, 91911."
Obviously the veterans home is a government building, paid for with taxpayer money. Anyone want to pipe up on the rules of a politician using a taxpayer funded building to announce a political campaign?
