Leaping Ahead

In other news it sounds like District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis is eager to run for re-election. I did not support her against Paul Phingst, but I think she's done a good job and will vote for her for re-election. There will always be issues in an office that has to decide whether to prosecute or not - but at least from what I read in the paper she has been reasonably fair. Like every other insider in San Diego I've read the various emails that imply she and a handfull of Chula Vista insiders used the force of the law to try to take Republican Steve Castaneda down without merit. I have a hard time believing this kind of gossip -- more likely the Public Integrity Unit over-reached.

LaSuer used to be a GOP official does that mean he gets the Republican Party endorsement?
No it does not mean LaSuer gets a county party endorsement. I can't imagine LaSuer's replacement, Joel Anderson, who LaSuer fought tooth and nail, is going to let Jay get a GOP endorsement and move on to the powerful position of Sheriff.
oh really? well I doubt joel will let bill gore/dumanis choice get the endorsement. joel ran against debbie beyer, NOT lasuer. joel will endorse jay.
Ill be taking bets that Joel works against LaSuer. Joel didnt really run against Debbie Beyer, he ran against LaSuer's ego.
Let us pray that someone replaces the idiot who is currently sheriff.
Why replace her? Marla has been a great Sheriff.
I'm talking about Kolender, San Diego County's current embarrassment for a sheriff. you know the one who thinks his ideas supercede the Constitution.
The three candidates running thus far are: Prince Gore (the insider) and current lap dog for Kolender. Mr. La Suer (the elderly politician) who was once the Undersheriff for the short lived Roach Administration, and finally Lt. Jim Duffy (THE NEXT SHERIFF)...........I hope this helps
Has Kolender formally announced that he won't be seeking reelection?
