NECA supported Brian M. in the primary, if memory serves. No need to dilly-dally and wring hands now. Good for them. This may be the first of many groups previously in support of Peterschein that will now circle in behind Jan.
NECA Endorses Judge Jan Goldsmith for San Diego City Attorney
The San Diego Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association announces pick for the November General Election.
San Diego - Today the NECA Board of Directors voted unanimously to endorse Judge Goldsmith. "We see no need to wait to voice our support for a well-qualified challenger against a dysfunctional incumbent," commented Tom Hedges, NECA Board President. The statement released expressed that the choice is now clearly defined. "We can support the status quo in the form of the careless and reckless behavior exhibited by City Attorney Michael Aguirre or appropriately support Jan Goldsmith who will bring accountability and integrity back to an office which has long abandoned the idea of responsible enforcement of the law. On behalf of our Board of Directors, I am proud to offer the National Electrical Contractors Associations' endorsement for San Diego City Attorney to Judge Jan Goldsmith."

"Peterschein"...good one! But, there is no news hidden in that knee-jerk endorsement.
However, Judge Jan appearing without his "rug"...that would be news! :-)
